Actually, you're spot on. Arrived at that point in the story (and nothing having gone to plan), I did remember the house from Carrie, but the 1976 version.
Looking back, actually, I should have gone to the very end with a Carrie's ending, with twilight not escaping the house. It would have prevented me to use an even cheaper trick to have her not face the consequences of her actions.
I don't know if this is a Flashlight or Anti-Flashlight or just neutral.

Neutral. At the very beginning, the story was supposed to be between Rainbow Dash and an unknown pony.
I only took Twilight and Flash sentry because it was the only way I could make the story work. It was making the most sense (the overpowered Twilight allowes me to go as far as I wanted with my concept, and Flash sentry was already her love interest, so it was a logical choice).
To quote a famous french man (Coluche): "I'm neither for, nor against, quite on the contrary."
ps: if I absolutely had to choose a side, I would be for Flashlight, just because I think even fictional characters have the right to be happy, no matter who they are.
