TwiwnB

30 years old closet brony from the center of Europe. Just happily doing my thing in my corner of the internet.

One morning, Twilight doesn't want to get up.
By chance, she is an over powerful alicorn with godlike powers and there is no rule that say you can't use powers if you've got them, right? What is the worse that could happen...

Not much actually, but still.

Needs a proofread, mate. :unsuresweetie:

This is really good! Short, and easy to read! -would put a lot of emotions but I am on my phone :(

Well that's a trick I'd love to have...

I'm sorry about my poor english skills there :unsuresweetie:. I just don't know who could proofread for me (as I don't know much people who speak english and all my friends not only don't know that I'm a brony, but speak english worse than I do...).
"Je ne peux dès lors que continuer à m'appliquer à exercer toutes mes facultés pour obtenir le meilleur résultat possible."
It could help, nonetheless, if you pointed out one or two of the mistakes I made so that I may be able not to repeat them the next time.

Glad you had a good time reading it. I was afraid it would be "too" simple (no real forshadowing, the character's reaction are quite straightforward).

We are at least two then... I actually wrote that story out of that simple thought, and the fact I realized that Twilight might just have such power (even if originally she was supposed to literally go back in time).
I hate getting up in the morning. I'm just too lazy I guess.

4309761 It was simple but that's what makes it a nice change from a lot of other stories.

I'm sorry, but then I can't resist advicing you to go see two stories I found on fimfiction that should probably please as well given that criteria ('cause I can't see any of my stories I could advice and those two write better than I do anyway):
Free Bird
The story that gave the best definition of freedom I've read in a long time.
Her tutor
That story... Well, I just like the atmosphere of that story. Too bad the author isn't around anymore.

I'm really sorry, I usually don't say "you should read that", but I like simple things too and those two stories have really left me with a great impression. Well, I guess it's not so unusual for a brony to say "you should go check that out..." :yay:.

4311229 Thanks for the suggestions! I read them and they were both really good! :pinkiehappy:

"Je ne peux dès lors que continuer à m'appliquer à exercer toutes mes facultés pour obtenir le meilleur résultat possible."

What does that mean in English?

5316926
It means "All I can do from there is try to use the best of my knowledges to obtain the best result I'm able to."

Wait, isn't this the mare that once tried to make the night eternal? What's she upset about? :rainbowlaugh:

Anyway, Twilight should just stuff tons of energy into the world around her so that time will slow down relative to her. Thank you Einstein for special relativity!

531692 According to Google Translate:

I can therefore only continue to apply myself to exercise all my faculties to obtain the best possible result

Wait, isn't this the mare that once tried to make the night eternal? What's she upset about?

That... is a huge contradiction in my story :twilightblush:. Oh well, here is "a reason" for it.

Anyway, Twilight should just stuff tons of energy into the world around her so that time will slow down relative to her. Thank you Einstein for special relativity!

That's a clever way to do it. I never even considered it :pinkiegasp:. But ponies logically cannot know the laws of special relativity.

6180718 Because there's no way to make a horse pun out of "Albert Einstein"? Yeah, that's probably a valid reason.

Because there's no way to make a horse pun out of "Albert Einstein"? Yeah, that's probably a valid reason.

And also because the laws of physics are constantly broken in their world, rendering any attempt to understand physic futile.

Okay, I actually simply can't find a horse pun out of Albert Einstein... :moustache:
