"Fanfic [has] been on the decline since the Aeneid." --Anonymous poster 18/03/15

"Apparently, some prince a long time ago whipped up this recipe and gave it to this princess he liked. He meant it to be a love potion, but things didn't turn out so well."
"How 'not so well' did things turn out?"
"Well, there's something here about a dragon, the kingdom falling, chaos reigning... apparently it was all because the prince and princess were so lost in each other's eyes that they couldn't perform their royal duties."

Hear the tale of Princess Golden Dream.
And learn from her mistakes.

Made for /mlp/'s daily 30-min writing prompt. And in just one hour, I'm getting close.

I can't wait for more of these!

There are a few instances where you have 'his' instead of 'her' as well as a few places where a proofreading pass would have caught a few errors.

One in particular is a place where you have the word 'seem' where it makes no sense. See or deem would work, but seem makes no sense there.

4747616 Thanks, I didn't have time to properly edit this, but I'll do so now.

NIce job you have done here

4747606 These come from daily prompts made on /mlp/.
Once I have finished Blankness I'll probably burn through the ones I have left.

I'm glad you liked it.

Whoah this is amazingly well written....it also doesn't help my cloudy humor.

Well, my humor doesn't change the fact that this is a very well written piece of art. as you (or rather the princess) said, writing really IS the finest of arts. The proof is that this short story, barely 1000 words, something I could read in about 5 minutes, has made me stop and confront what love does to one, and self sacrifice.

I loved it, the fact that it took a mere hour to write is even more amazing.

I'm glad you enjoyed my story.

I had always found this piece of story fascinating, seeing how little we were told about it. So when the prompt came up about an alicorn princess, I knew I had to write this.

Either way, thanks for reading it, and there'll be more to come.

4766917 thanks for writing this.

This could easily be a springboard into a series.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered it.

Wait, did you write two stories with the same title, or is this also your entry from the "Famous Last Words" writeoff? O.o

I wrote this one first, then I reused the same concept and wrote a different story with the same character for the writeoff because I'm a lazy hack.
Huh, I think I should give that another shot, are there still any more going?

Okay, so it's a different There Once Lived a Princess. Confusing, but I get it.

And yeah, man. We migrated to Fimfic earlier this year. Just finished up a writeoff, but there'll be a new minific event next month, most likely. You're welcome to come try it again! :)
