Very good :) Big Mac and Caramel are by far my favourite couple (with Braeburn and Soarin' a close second) and this was good. To be honest I'm still getting used to the idea of this being about a human and ponies
However I'm sure I'll come round :D It was written really well but my only problem was that I imagine Caramel as having no accent rather than a weak country one. That's just my personal opinion though so I can't fault you for that

So, our insert is not the only one in Equestria? I wonder, do all your 2nd person human insert stories take place in the same world, and if so does that mean that in the end they all have to go back to Earth due to "magic mutations" or whatever it was you mentioned in Getting Braeburned? What is the greater Equestria's reaction to this, and is there an official policy to all these humans popping into their world and having trans-species relationships with the inhabitants? This is way above the scope of a clopfic, but that statement got my mind a swirling.

All of my second-person human stories are in the same universe, more or less, yes. Humans are regarded as oddities that pop in every once in a long while. They're treated, I suppose, with a bit of fear, curiosity, derision, and wonderment all mixed in. I would think that Celestia's policy is to let each human live their life in Equestria as they see fit, with the same rights as any mere pony, but she'd keep knoweldge of inter-dimenonal travel (the mechanics of it, details) hidden to protect the public.

I've heard of MetalHooves, but I've never read his or her work. I guess it's a case of independent thinking, probably liking the same sort of mix of lovey-dovey romantic language with explicit, detailed sexual scenes that I adore.

Mmm. I really should plead YKINMK on this chocolate-covered sausage-fest. Repeat my usual criticisms of 1) why are your characters so strangely eager?* and 2) I can't feel the orientation of their bodies, so get confused - bouncing around from act to act with no real communication = too fast and disorienting to enjoy.
That said, the non-sex interactions are very nice, as usual.
*perhaps another YKINMK. I'm rather demisexual myself.

As for the rule, I don't think it's that helpful. Maybe I'm not understanding it right, though.
I'm going to be honest and say that I expect you to mostly dislike Nightmare Date, with the exception of the grimdark alternative ending and the troll/comedy ending. It's essentially wish-fulfillment goo side of having a nerd unicorn and evil princess of the endless night fall in love, yeah.
On the other hand, you liked Avalon, which is about a nerd unicorn and a grey pegasus with unique and beautiful eyesfalling in love in wish-fufillment goo style... So, I'm curious. I do feel proud of writing both Avalon and Nightmare Date, since I think those 'dawwwwwwwww'-ish romances have touched a lot of people. It's touched me.
