Hey, one thing to consider - this site doesn't allow mature sexual content with human or anthro characters under the age of 18. I don't know for sure where you're planning on taking this story, but you definitely need to not take it in that direction.
Or you need to age them up or something first.

4990531 legally speaking, yeah. Kiddie porn is how you get messy legal battles on your hands, and anthro blurs the line enough that we include it just to be safe. It's hard to pin down an age of consent for a horse, though, so foalcon should be okay. At least, that's how I understand it. I may be wrong.
Honestly if I had my way we'd just get rid of underage stuff in its entirety, so we don't ever have to make this distinction, but that's not my decision to make.

I got'ta say, this is an interesting story. I like the concept and you clearly have a way with words.
But this story's moving way too quickly.
I don't know how to explain it. I just didn't have time to "feel" for any of the characters before the scenes ended. Big Macintosh gets laughed out? Take two sentences to tell us that he tried to make friends and move along. Fluttershy's crying? Don't elaborate; just explain that she was called a crazy cat lady, let her cry, throw in a snuggling scene, and plant a kiss in there. . . . If I didn't "know" from fanart and other fanfictions that Big Macintosh and Fluttershy had a thing for one another, the snuggling, the kiss, would've felt so out of place. In that respect, it almost seemed like you were depending on the support of other fan-made works to establish our support of a relationship that, by M.L.P. cannon, doesn't exist.
You just can't do that.
Sure, I may support a Fluttershy x Big Mac relationship, but that doesn't mean I enter every fanfiction with the expectation of a developing relationship. We've only had one episode where both Fluttershy and Big Macintosh took center stage (Filli Vanilli), and whether or not they were flirting throughout the episode is debatable. Add that to the fact that this story is set in the Equestria Girls universe (so nothing pony Fluttershy and Big Mac does together applies to their humanoid counterparts) and you directly say "They were acquaintances at best . . . He had always thought she was cute, but was too shy to make a move" and you've got a recipe for disaster.

And I'm not being hard on you just to criticize. I'm actually impressed by what you have here; this is the kind of story that you could do something with. Especially considering your naturally fluent word choice, I think this is something that could be fantastic once it's finished; once it's polished. It's just not there yet.

4992150 Well, I suspect the law was created with ethical concerns in mind, like most laws. So it's a bit of both, really.
4992884 The issue is with age of consent. Someone under 18 can't legally agree to have sex with an older person, so that's where you get the term "statutory rape." A child can't agree to be in porn. I'm honestly not sure why there's such a fuss over the written version, since no actual children are being abused here, but that's how the law's set up and that's what we aim to abide by.
As far as I know, cupcakes never existed on this site. The author doesn't even have an account here. We let through all sorts of bad ripoffs of that story every day. I can only think of a few times where we've barred stories for being "too violent," and cupcakes certainly isn't on that list.

I don't want to sound harsh or anything, but there's zero point arguing this. This is site policy and it's not going to change anytime soon. If we did do anything, we'd probably ban foalcon outright so that no underage content was permissible at all.
Sorry if that steps on your fetish, but knighty and Xaq know what they're talking about when they say we can't allow underage content. They've done their homework on the subject, and I'm gonna trust their judgment.

Just out of curiosity can you give an example of one of the fics that was too violent. If you really don't want to that's fine, but to be honest, while I have read some gruesome fics here and there (they were pretty gruesome), I was able to read them fully, and yes I've read the entirety of cupcakes and rainbow factory. Every word. That said I'm surprised to hear that there are such fics that are even more gruesome than that. So yeah that's why I'm a little curious on the matter.

Also, what kind of high school is so boring that Fluttershy's hobbies and Mac's relatives are still worth gossiping and teasing about a quarter through the school year? I'm impressed that the school bullies can even remember petty, uninteresting details like that for so long with a teenage attention span.
