This is an AU starting before the first EG movie, though it will continue into it with changes. The world will work differently than our world and possibly a little different than the EG world being some relaxations on certain things.

Arc 2 has split off into 2 different timelines so has 2 different stories.
The Sun and the Shy: Shadows Rising is the story centering around Sunset and Fluttershy's transfer to Crystal Prep Academy.
The Sun and the Shy: Canterlot Blues is the story of Fluttershy and Sunset staying at CHS and goes through the first movie.
I like it so far. It will be quite interesting to read, but I wish it was a Sunset X Fluttershy story. Still I hope to see more soon.

Out of Sunset's ships with everyone, my favorite ships are Sunlight and Sunshy. On the other hand, Sunsarity and Sunpie sound hilarious. I had a very random thought of a EG/Yandere Simulator crossover with Sunset starring as Senpai and having watched the Japanese dub of MLP some time ago, I can imagine Fluttershy being a yandere and it scares me.

For Sunset I agree, even after all this time I doubt that she'd change, but then again, horses can eat meat though from what I've read, it makes them more aggressive and they don't need it, so no one does it. For Flutters, I don't see why she wouldn't eat meat, she's human and always has been, and meat is common in human diets. That said, I could see Sunset ordering more on the veggie side and Flutters happily eating it.

Part of me says that fluttershy is eating so much because she's been abused (and one of the more common things that happenes in that situation is withheld permissions particularly for mandane things) such as ... not eating , nor socializing, hell even sleeping. So I don't know if you meant for this or if it's just coincidence but you kinda made me feel even more sorry for fluttershy.

Especially if she doesn't know about the veggie thing at first and gets sick from not getting the right vitamins and nutrients and whatever. If a doctor or someone explained that the body requires that stuff without going into options, then prove to her that animals that they use for food is not smart like the ones back in Equestria, I can see it being a little easier for her. Of course she would have problems with it at first, but she does have a leather jacket so there is that. I know she supposedly had it when she came over, but she had been there for years and surely had to do some growing which meant replacing clothes including her jacket. I guess she could have gotten fake leather, but somehow I'm not so sure that would have happened.

8105342 Basically, it is the good Sombra from the comics that Celestia found a way to see again that is Sunset's father. In the story she's actually around Twilight's age. As for what the human Celestia, she was a teacher trying to get the principal position at CHS and her competition for it was the mob boss's wife since she just wanted it to have something to do. They threatened Celestia and Sombra, including threatening their daughter Sunset if Sunset didn't back down and let the mob boss's wife have the position. She was more full of herself then and refused to back down despite Sombra begging her to, though she also didn't want the other woman to get it because she didn't really care about it or the kids. To show that they meant business, they had the human Sunset killed when she was playing outside and Sombra never forgave Celestia for it because to him, if Celestia just let the job go and wait for another chance at another school, then their daughter would never have been targeted.
Ah. OK. Now I get it. Damn you Celestia! Your Equestria counterpart kept alive a magic eating centaur demon and this version of you got Sunset's counterpart killed over a stupid job!?

The coolest thing ever would be if Sunset would proof -with the help of the portal- to Fluttershy that Equestria and everything she read was in fact the hard cold truth (from Sunset's POV).
Like, when she still decides to steal Twilight's tiara out of revenge for being (at least in this story it seems) replaced with the Unicorn who had the "right Cutie Mark" on the Tree of Harmony, she takes Fluttershy with her or that Fluttershy is at least in on the everything and supports Sunset.
Ok, in reality the shy girl would maybe more try (or will) to talk Sunset out of it instead, but it would still be awesome no less if that would happen.

Maybe I'll be naive, but in my opinion if Fluttershy had the power to forgive Sunset despite having treated him badly in the past, I do not see why he can not find the power to forgive his friends. And after this rumor I tell you that this is a chapter that I generally like the story in general, it keeps going great!

8109414 I always thought it was kind of weird personally that they ended their friendship over such flimsy excuses without at least saying more to each other and realizing something was off. Still, in this story it is a bit worse as Fluttershy at least tried to talk to the others only to be shot down. It might actually happen in both alternate arc 2's, who knows. They are avoiding each other and not talking as well as ignoring each other unless absolutely necessary.

Lol there is no way Sunset will be able to resist Fluttershy for long. Fluttershy is just way too good at pushing her buttons. We're throwing ideas back and forth on the reveal for both alternate arc 2's, but in the CHS arc Fluttershy will have a hand in helping Sunset some, but she will have a difficult time all around. Though I have to say I love your idea and am currently laughing my ass off imagining their faces realizing Fluttershy is siding with Sunset.

Though I will say that there will most likely be a big change from canon with the portal being open longer than what the movie claims and how it works.
