This was an idea I had in my head for the longest time. Read the story before this as it kinda spoils the whole tale but I always liked to imagine Discord using the most extravagant and over the top ways to write to Fluttershy. He seems the type to want to impress, and the idea of Fluttershy sending cozy, laced letters in fine writing and getting these magical lands within paper from Discord just seemed to exotic and strangely heartwarming not to make a short story about it.
This is probably a oneshot, unless people really want more letters.

I'm glad to hear it wasn't too sweet, one of the issues I had was my initial plan had Discord a little too sweet, it consisted of just the ocean. I had to throw in the shipwreck since it wouldn't be like him not to throw in some bit of peril.

I find it funny that the Japanese words in the pic say "Stop saying such strange things to everyone!" (Minna ni hen na koto shabetcha dameeee!), given that the story is about Discord sending Fluttershy some very strange letters. :-)

I appreciate the translation as I've been very curious what that picture meant. I may look into changing it, admittedly there aren't many pictures of Fluttershy and much less Discord reading mail and I don't have many of the two.

The artist who did this one, pasikon, does Discord and Fluttershy all the time.
I went looking on Derpibooru for Discord and letter. The only things I found that remotely apply are an anthro of Fluttershy holding a letter (where Discord is actually in the picture as a butterfly), and Discord and Fluttershy sitting on a cloud, Discord brushing Fluttershy's hair, while Derpy flies past in a trail of several zillion letters. So I can see your problem. But if you just want cute pics of Discord and Fluttershy, there are zillions.

Ah, that was so wonderful! The way in which Discord's letters work is just brilliant! Very well though out and creative... I'm kind of sitting in awe of what a great idea it is. I love it all, from the way Fluttershy sends letters to him and how his work, sent and imagery and his voice narrating it all; really fantastic. You really nailed Discord's voice, too. This was so good and so sweet with all the right little bits of chaos that I could easily see it fitting into canon.
One part of me wants to beg for more letters (or perhaps just the first time Fluttershy experienced receiving a letter like this), but at the same time this just works so well as a one shot. It's just so good!
This is an absolutely delightful story. Loved it! Well done.
