that was quite possibly one of the most beautiful time travel stories I've read in a long time

bravo, sir.

Wow, very well done story, my good sir.

Wow, that was not what I expected at all. Bravo!

Kind of had a Terminator vibe to it.

Wait, if nothing is sad in the ending, then how come this story is a tragedy?

Still great, one of the best time travel stories on this site that isn't a time loop or Doctor Who based.

Awesome story.

Agreed, one of the best time travel stories out there.

I liked this, a lot. i kinda hope for a sequel companion thing.

Keep up the good work.

...Why can't more people write descriptions like you do!? This is beautiful. Gotta give this a read.

Will provide a semi-review/personal thoughts on the story once I'm done.

That was feckin' glorious. I love how the concept of time travel was used, described, answered for and actually abused so perfectly. You had a grasp on a science and magic field that many of us wish we could use.

Your grammar faltered here and there, but nothing a simple proofreading wouldn't fix, and it hardly detracted from the experience. The plotline flowed like a stream, each point coming and going with its proper time in the spotlight. I was left wondering if all this time travel nonsense would just lead to Rarity doing something great with her art, but how this story resolved itself was a truly marvelous occasion.

And the language! I have never seen anyone do a first-person POV like this. The narrative was truly controlled by the character in question, and it sounded purely like Rarity all throughout. You've done a great thing here, author, and I'm proud to say I've experienced it. Just like how Twilight's art is magic, and Rarity's is fabric, yours is indeed writing.

Bloody. Wonderful. This needs to be Featured. Seriously. I'm gonna be pissed if it isn't.

That was an amazing story, Rarity's characterization was wonderful.

I haven't given one of these away in ages. Not that it matters, really, but... good story. Very good story. :raritystarry:

Heartwarming, isn't it, Wanderer? Seems Rarity finally got the characterization she deserved, and it actually landed in Featured.

Also, congratulations on your Featured spot, Sparks. You deserve it.

awesome!!!!!:pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::yay::yay::yay:

Zeg

I do enjoy a nicely done time travel story, and this is one of the best I've read in a while.

Nothing I say can ever actually show just how impressed I am with this.

Nothing I do will be enough to show it either.

So. Just take this:

This is one of my Top 15.

~Skeeter The Lurker

:raritystarry: You turned a gag comic into a sweet, beautiful piece of sorority and generosity. After all, sometimes the best thing you can give someone is an ending. Incredibly well done. Thank you for it.

4072900

Do you not give out Lurker Medals anymore?

Wow, simply amazing. This is without a doubt one of the best I've read. :raritywink:

I'm going to say it if no one else does. You're the new Pen Storkes, nuff said:moustache:

4073049

It takes a lot to get that!

~Skeeter The Lurker

This has got to be the best time-travel story I've read...

I don't normally do this, but you sir have really impressed me...

+1 follower :trollestia:

Well, I have to say that was an amazing story. The concept of the workings of magic, the connections you made...all of it was just...wow.

But the link in the author's note doesn't work.

:raritystarry: : "This was wonderful, darling."

Me : "Indeed it was, Rarity, indeed it was."

10/10

Bravo good sir/madam.

Time Enough for Sisters (Five Rarities, One Sweetie Belle)

*reads title* *checks tags* If this turns out to be the pony version of two girls one cup I will find you and pour soda in your computer.

But oh, did it make my grit my teeth!

*me grit

If this is indeed me, then my goodness, I look absolutely fabulous!

Meanwhile in an alternate mature-rated fic ...

“Who is it that has a secret crush on moi?”

"secret." uh-huh.

Well, damn. I think this is the best one-shot I've read this month, quite possibly this year. Nicely done.

4073177

Thanks for kind words and the heads-up, Tatsurou. I'm glad you liked all the connections I made, and I fixed the link in the Author's Note, as DocWario's cartoon strip on Deviantart is what inspired the story.

PS: Thanks to everyone who's enjoyed the story and found time to comment!

PPS: BlueNinja, you owe me a keyboard as you made me cough up my soda on it! (Re: The pony version of 2 girls, 1 cup.) The typo you found was obliterated and corrected, too. Thanks!

Hmm, what a neat idea for a story. Nice one, sparky, can't wait to see more from you.

Oh, congrats on the feature, btw. First fic and featured, that's quite an achievement.
:pinkiegasp:

Well that was an interesting twist. :raritywink:

What an amazing story! And your first one to boot! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

This is an amazing work of fanfiction, with a fascinating blend of unique writing style, creative narrative choices, fascinating conceptual ideas, and tangible emotional weight. The sheer level of sophistication to your writing is astonishing, particularly given the one-shot nature of this story. You look to go far with your art, my friend, so keep up the great work! :raritywink::yay:

Wow. This here is something special. If this is your first story, I would certainly have never guessed it. You write like a professional, nay, better than a professional. You have some serious talent.

Gladly favorited. I'm going to keep an eye on you. I may be relatively new here, but even I can see a potential star when I see one, seeing as you write better than some of this site's masters. Excellent work. :rainbowkiss:

This! This is why I come to this site every night no matter how crappy my WIFI is. Normally time travel is a dusty concept with me, but this story is an eternal exception. I'm giving it an upvote and you a follow.
Welcome to the herd, friend. I think you'll like it here.:pinkiehappy::ajsmug::raritystarry::twilightsmile::yay::rainbowkiss:

WOW! This was simply incredible. A bit confusing at times, but that is probably due to the sheer number of distractions I have had to deal with today.

INSTANT FAV!!!

This particular piece of pony literature has invigorated mine own thoughts about the future to come. If one lets themselves get caught up on their own thoughts and work, one would miss out on the different gifts that family and friends give to you on ordinary days... You made me realise this, and I am grateful towards you.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a loving father and mother to attend to.

Thank you for this story,
The Watcher 509

I loved this. SO much.

Thank you for taking your time writing this masterpiece.

Wow, that was a swing and a tone shift and a half.

My... head hurts now. Time travel is... Bleugh. Bleugh!

I suppose that's only because I enjoyed this so immensely I choose to think about it so much that it pains me. So, good job. Jerk.

Absolutely BRILLIANT!
If i could give you money for this, I'd say 50-100 bits would cover it.
I wonder if there will be some kind of sequel?

Being a time traveler myself, I understand rarity. You've done a nice job on explaining such complicated scenes in this story without making t sound like a list of nouns my good pony! :moustache:

I'm not sure that time travel would work like this. However when you think about time travel enough you come to realize that it either can't work or if it did, it would be something like this. I expected this story to have a horribly incomplete ending, as many stories do, but it doesn't. I must really thank you for that. I expected that this was going to end with Rarity declaring that she would be a better sister and that would be that, but no you showed the future and how it changed, thank you so much for that. I'm also glad that Rarity Five at least got to see the changes before ceasing to exist, that was lovely. A beautiful story.

Why is this tagged tragedy? Honestly wouldn't even qualify as sad in my opinion.

4078143

You're the second comment that referenced this. I went and re-read the description of the tag and decided to remove it. Thanks for the feedback, hope this didn't interfere with your reading experience. :scootangel:

Best,

Sparks

A time travel fic?
An original premise?
And best pony too?

:raritystarry:

This fic is, by far, one of the most extraordinary. It's funny at the beginning, very deep and emotional at the end. It's just so amazing and perfectly tuned, as an instrument that had played the best music and struck my hart. Splendid work,

Hah! Time Paradoxes! Nothing will happen! Fuck you! :pinkiecrazy:

s6.postimg.org/dd47s96ap/Pirate_Approved.jpg

As an aside, why do people keep saying time travel is too complicated? As long as you stick the the rules you establish in your story it works out just fine, :raritywink:

I thought this story felt familiar. But then, the twist! :rainbowkiss:

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever read.

4078280

I thought it was a perfectly good tragedy. It's a tale of Rarity One basically ruining everything by her own character flaws (being a bad sister). The Bad Future was the original future. Which is to say, Timeline 1.0 was a classic tragedy. I figured the tragedy tag matched that.

Of course, it could be argued that the fact that she gets to go back and undo the 1.0 timeline makes it no longer a tragedy.

Update to the Update: I'm on Equestria Daily? I am honored and flattered!!

Wait... Are you saying that you didn't submit this to Equestria Daily? I'm positive that only the author who wrote the story could submit them!

4097922

My apologies, I should have been more specific. I checked my old emails, and yes, I did submit it...but I was under the impression that it took weeks or months to even get reviewed. So I'm just flabbergasted that a) I actually got put on there, and b) it happened rather *quickly*.

Whoever put the good word in for me, even if it was just for good luck, thank you.
