Oooh. Well that puts a bit of a different spin on your first story. Looks like Rarity plans on putting a bit of a show on for her past self to make her story more convincing. After all, she hasn't even created the amulet yet at this point, so all those 'future versions' of herself must have been separated by mere minutes instead of decades.

Those arent changelings... Those are zombies. Those are anything but changelings for me. Edit... After reading the other story i understood. But I guess i just dont see the difference or the point of having changeling clones or brutes of Chrysalis other than to personify the hate. In fact i don't think this story needs to involve Queen Chrysalis in the tag.
Those are my concerns. And no i am not upset over a different interpretation. I am not concerned either. Edit... I just don't understand why Chrysalis is cloned if shes anything but Chrysalis.

Thanks for the kind words, Feral, especially about the song. It was amazing to me that this song, in a different context, was surprisingly kick-ass when applied to the whole 'last stand' thing. As for more to come, check out the other 2 stories of mine, they shed more light on what happened before and after.

Thanks for the feedback nioniosbbbb, and yeah, I agree with what you wrote. As you saw in the other stories, the ponies are as much at fault for the war, and the changelings aren't the same as they were under Chrysalis. Only Rarity knows the truth and she didn't share it with Applejack at this point in time.

I did have a blast writing this one, Skeeter! Hope I managed to get close to Applejack's character too. And yeah, that intro pic really rocks, it helped inspire what I did here, along with that classic line from James Cameron's 'Aliens'.

I pick this line to single out, but the word use to paint pictures in my mind is incredible! You have a gift my friend.
Overall this may be the best 'Equestria is fallen' story I have ever read. Whatever you have planned next, in this 'verse or otherwise, sign me up.

Fallout Equestria is a great work. It's the reason I left 'may be' in my comment.
Many words have been spilled on whether or not FoE is is good, and which of the side stories are worth reading. I'm saving that for a blog post after Somber finishes his side story. Suffice it to say that I love FoE, and I would happily place this tale alongside it as great 'Equestria is Fallen' storytelling. The third member of my Triumvirate would be shortskirtsandexplosions' End of Ponies, but that lemur looses massive points for not finishing the damn thing.
So I'm not ranking this against FoE, but standing it alongside. And if you end up writing enough in this 'verse to fill a book, I'd gladly place it on my bookshelf next to my printed copy of Fallout: Equestria.
That may have even been better than the first two stories. I literally had goosebumps during the fight when AJ started up the song.
Three stories, three favorites, three thumbs up, and a follow. I can't wait to see what you might write next.

edit: I know the apple song sounded badass with this story, but I just played this song, and it sounded great for the battle, I mean it's a fast and furious theme song, but just playing with this made it even more awesome, though I will admit I recommend skipping the first part if you do listen to it.

Why do I feel like there was an reference Aliens, when Applejack got in the mech suit and confronted that giant Queen changeling?
And will there be any sequel to this story or is this just one shot deal?

A) Probably because it was one!
B) Not a direct sequel, but my two other works on this site tie into this story. One looks at what screwed the world up in the first place, and the other lets you find out what happened to Rarity on the rest of her mission.
