Wow, after an absence that was a LOT longer than I'd hoped for, I've finally gotten the next Pony Tale ready to roll. It's undergoing final edits and will be posted tomorrow morning. (Of course, we'll see how long it takes to get approved after that for reader consumption.)
The title? 'Apple Family Last Stand: The Final Battle of the Changeling War'. We're going to see the world that Rarity escaped in order to warn her younger self of the coming Dark Future.
Hmm...I've plotted out my third entry in the pony fiction universe and estimate it to be between 5,000 and 10,000 words long. That said, it seems that a lot of stories on the site publish in 'chapters' that are as short as 2000-3000 words at a time. Readers, do you have a preference one way or other as to publishing a story in 2000 word chunks if the whole isn't done yet?

Recently, the most excellent fellow Manes posted a story you should check out: A Washed Up Reporter. It's a most worthwhile read, in my opinion.
Very cool...I just got permission from the artist 'vombavr' to use the image below for the third story I have planned, to release sometime in April.
*shakes head* Um, wow! I am flattered, honored, and befuddled at how fast this all went!

I think this just a) made my week, and b) made me rethink my schedule to get a second piece of fanfic up.
How truly cool...

I've been a fan of G4 MLP:FiM since its inception, and even thought for a while that I must be the only guy over 12 who actually appreciated the brilliance of the programming. (Boy, does THAT ever look naive in hindsight.) It's been astonishing and yet welcome to see the fandom grow by such leaps and bounds, all the while producing great works of art and kindness.
