Why does an easily scared pony live at the edge of the Everfree Forest? What is she hiding as she surreptitiously leaves her house in the middle of the night?
And why does streamers and confetti sometimes appear in the middle of the Everfree?

BTW, believe it or not, the original inspiration for the story was this image, and my first draft of it was a silly comedy. It ended quite a bit different though

This could definitely be turned into a series or at least a more flushed out story. The ending was quite abrupt; it seems that it needed either an epilogue or just more story.

I had a bit of deadline issue with this story. My fault really, for bitting more than I could chew.
I do have planned a prequel telling the story of the first warden; if, or when, I get to that, there is a chance I will rewrite this one. It might take a fairly long time, though, because I have my plate a bit full for the time being, with a few more stories I want to write competing for attention (and more than half a dozen in various states of completion that I need to polish and submit
).
