Yep, Wolfie and Blaze are definitely a couple---especially since they are expecting a cub now, thanks to chapter 1.
And like you also said, it's probably too early for other ships, but I'm gonna come out and predict that Spike's gonna have a bit of a crush on Lily. I don't quite know the age of Lily, so I don't know if that ship would even be allowed and not potentially pedo. Also, I can at least sense something between Obsidian and Gizmo (is that what that mare's name is?), but it could just be the brotherhood of the Royal Guard.
And I hate to say it, but I would not be surprised if Wolf has a little feeling for Quill. But right now, it's not gonna be a romantic feel for two reasons (well three): 1/ Wolf's spoken for w/Blaze, and Blaze is pregnant with his child (kinda reason 3); and 2/ Wolf could see a little bit of himself when he was growing up when he is assisting and teaching Quill on how to hunt. You could see that it's kinda like a father/daughter vibe going on. And in a way that same type of vibe could go in for Lily and Spike, a mother/son vibe that would be similar to what Spike had back in Canterlot w/Celestia.

Well, that was quick.....I thought that it would be Obsidian's crew to take flight at first light, not right after that meeting with other officials and Princess Celestia.
I also wonder if Celestia also accompanied the troop to the Everfree.
And as a bit of a observation: Quill seems to be catching on with what her element is, fire. She probably doesn't have the mental acuity of Spike, but at least she's willing to learn. We see this when she and Wolf are on hunts, and she seems to be more atuned to her draconic traits, despite being raised by ponies for most of her life. Whereas Spike seems to be more focused on the fact that he's not able to catch on things as well as Quill, but he have shown that he has advanced intelligence. However, the incident in the Canterlot archives is still a really hard pill to swallow. That event and the resulting fiasco just seems to be the proverbial straw that have broken the camel's back. I hate to sound like an asshole by saying this, but everyone else in the pack are saying it in one way or another: GET OVER IT. Spike has to let his new herdmates about why he and his sister are in the Everfree in the first place. Maybe once he finally owns up to it, it will allow him to be able to grasp things better and become more useful.

I'm a little late, but I think Celestia is well aware that she, Spike, and Quill have exceedingly long lifetimes: Celestia, I have to believe she is immortal--she was there when Luna was banished for 1000 years; Spike and Quill, despite the fact that they are dragons, will eventually die at some point, probably centuries if not millenia in the future, if they are not slain by some idiot or accident first, but they will die.
Regardless of how aloof Celestia has shown throughtout this entire skirmish, you can tell in her mind that she cares deeply for what is essential her son and daughter, she feels remorse of how neglected all were to her two kids (both directly and indirectly), and obviously her motherly instincts wants her babies to eventually come home. Yet at the same time she knows that this was gonna happen--Spike and Quill had to grow up and fend for themselves.
Looks like Quill had seen what real action looks like and she just might try it out on somebody. So she swings that way or is she bi? Looks like Spike is done watching life fly by him and is living it now. So how are you going to pair up Quill and Spike with? In know there are some hints of incest but I don't want to jump to conclusions just yet.

I wonder what is hold back Spike's power? I'm more of a fire and darkness guy myself but I understand that water can be really powerful if you know how to use it. And it look like Spike is stronger than he believes. Though Celestia's sudden change does raise a flag in my head, whether it's good or bad remains to be seen.

Well, considering fire is most of the time related to passion, anger and such, Quill has no problem controlling her element. Now, water is related to calmness, precision, focus. Spike might be troubled by something, something in his mind holding him back, maybe that he is afraid of what he is capable of doing, considering the grow spurt he had.

I didn't think it was that much tied into each dragon's emotions---no wonder it looks like Spike does so well when it comes to meditation and other things that rely on focus (just like water-bending from Avatar/Legend of Korra). Yeah...that's the thing, the headcanon I build around dragons, and Spike forces for him to be of the water-element if his twin is of the fire. Rightfully speaking, I could had this go just about anyway anyone could possibly think of, but I went for the two most basic elements because...well you'll see soon.

Though it does bring up the question why Spike's voice has been quiet for so long. And I can see that Spike and Quill are going to be real powerhouses one day.
