This will sound odd in this context (given the story) but I agree with you. It's odd. As for me, this is a manifestation of my super-peril fetish. Herones and villainesses. And in a meta-contextual sense, the world is exactly as it should be; Spike'sjust reading a very abberant, very odd doujin. I've actually railed against certain sorts of rape fics; "The Proscenium Arch" is almost a polemic, as well as a manifestation of my own personal discomfort with certain classes of story. I also write my own preferred classes, as seen in "Gilda: Griffin the Gut-Buster" and "Daring Done" where the ones on the recieving end retain petulance and will to the end.
