Oh god... Trixie pulling a Kanye. It's just a little too fitting.
The lack of articles (a, the, an, and so forth), as well as frequent slipping into present tense in narration, made this pretty painful to read.

A bit odd that my story-reading led me to this one after your later and better works, but there it is.
This chapter felt a bit rushed to me. I didn't mind, because it was mostly about things I don't usually read, but it still felt like thing happened rather fast. Did anyone else feel like that? Maybe I'm just used to reading stories where everything is slow.

Heh, I'm surprised you've even found this story. It's an oldie (almost 3 years, whoa!) which I don't think I'll ever revise, so expect more rushed scenes and general issues with it. After that you're welcome to check out some better executed stories of mine.

I find it a little odd that the CMC watch somepony basically get killed and don't even seem affected. Sure, the stallion wasn't killed in front of their eyes, just knocked over in what would become certain death, but still.
I almost see Sunseeker as a double agent going off his attitude in this chapter. I guess I'll find out in later chapters.
I'm mildly surprised Trixie doesn't toss her identity aside and form a new one if her old one is supposedly (at least to her) 'tainted' by the Ursa Minor incident.

For apparently knowing about the cult's meeting out in the open, Sunseeker probably could have attempted to call for more back-up, unless Hoofington is so far away it would have taken too long for anypony else to come out.
A bit of a nice slice-of-life chapter, but it feels rather distracting compared to the general story. It's like you felt you needed to put in a 'Trixie makes nice with Ponyville' segment, and as a result it reads shoehorned in to what is otherwise an adventure/thriller fic.
Looks like the MacGuffin is vanished, gone to set up another sequel. Meanwhile if Moonwarden was a traitor they're gonna have to comb through the Conclave to make certain there are no more traitors, and Trixie is gonna have to actually learn that teleportation spell so she can go through the wall if a scenario like that happens again.
And the end. I suppose I'll read the sequel later today.
Don't be too freaked if your system notification window shows you have 10+ new comments on two several years old stories. That's just what I do, comment chapter by chapter (unless they're really freaking small chapters, anyways...)
