Snowy Flanks

E

How many ponies can tell the difference between a boulder, and a gargoyle egg under the effects of an enlargement spell? Apparently not Rarity, at least not until after it's been sitting in her garden shrunk back to it's normal size for months, and hatches right in front of her little sister...

and also a continue for this story :rainbowkiss:

Gem of an idea, but your grammar needs a LOT of work. I only made it to Rarity seeing the gargoyle before giving up. Get an editor, and you will have my attention.

Was wondering one won’t Twilight be the touch donor being she moved and carried tom to Rarity’s?

Curse you dirty mind! :facehoof:

Nice story, unfortunately I don't think this statement makes sense;

Like Dragons, gargoyle have cold blooded but are capable of generating internal heat, this is believed to be the source of their ability to shout scalding water from their mouths.

I assume you mean are cold blooded rather than have, if that is the case cold blooded doesn't mean that an organism cannot generate internal heat, rather it relates to its inability to effectively regulate its internal temperature at the desired level independent of it's natural environment and habitat range. Cold blooded as a scientific definition is pretty weak and often miscommunication of exactly what it means leads to a poor understanding.

I think it would make more sense if I'm being honest that a gargoyle is warm blooded but with a very efficient insulation layer bellow it's skin and/or I would suggest you give it a low natural body temperature as they "evolved" in a low kentic energy environment, otherwise they mainly live underground. However the large surface area provided by it's wings would be a massive cause of heat loss even folded up (unless you have very thick fur or feathers which would reduce aerodynamics considerably, reducing the wings evolutionary fitness, epically if they dig increasing the likely hood of wing damage), if the wing membranes are not alive but rather something similar to say hair, hail or horn this wouldn't be a issue.

If they eat sedimentary material chances are would likely congregate around volcanically activate areas given their high abundance of minerals (and their replenishment), also drinking magma they might be into that.

Rarity touched Tom first so she was the donor
