Thank you, though I personally think I went a little overboard with it. I mean, it's twice the length of the first one... I don't think clop is suitable for dwelling too deep into characters' psyche (it's frickin' clop after all ) but despite knowing that it seems I just can't resist it.

I've written (non-pony) porn before... not to mention reading stuff by certain authors on this site... and truly, porn is not a preventative for writing a deeply intriguing piece.

Moreover, a large part of what attracts us (some of us anyway) to these characters in the first place is their personality, and clop is only enhanced when it delves deeply into prospective versions of the character's psyche. In short, the 'Why' they're fucking can provide an incredible amount of help to the 'How'... or it can ruin it, but that's a matter of the writer's skill and the reader's taste, really.

Well this explains Blueblood's behavior at the gala.

I am almost disappointed that you did not recreate the scene where AJ essentially confesses to RD and Pinkie Pie when she says something like "some of us do it quietly" so we could see it from the other point of view. I am sure you could make it worthwhile and probably really funny.

Actually, I thought about it, but ultimately decided against it (especially since 'quietly' meant Rarity cheating with a spell ). The scene was much lighter than the ending AJ and Rarity chose for themselves (yeah, writing about ponies is a constant battle between them doing what they like and me trying to force them to behave ) and I don't think I could insert it without ruining the overall mood of the story (there is one, right? ... Right?).
Perhaps the decision was wrong.

Actually, as much as I've been thinking about it (again and again ), I can't seem to make up ANY believable reason for them to seek comfort in each other's hooves.

Fluttershy is simply too shy to admit that kinds of feelings (thus, she would rather satisfy herself if need be ), plus, I don't think she and Twilight would be a good match. I can't feel any of the chemistry in FlutterLight that's so abundant in RainbowPie and RariJack.
Besides, as far as Twilight is concerned, she would rather read a good book.

Wonder what Spike was doing on that fateful night, though... Had he overheard Rarity and Applejack? Had he, perhaps, felt betrayed, seeking solace in a pony not engrossed in reading a book? What would have happened if he visited a shy pegasus, so enamored with baby dragons?

Hey, you don't give yourself enough credit. In my opinion your writing is awesome and this fic was fantastic so I had a blast, going back and reading it again. Good writers who like to ship Rarijack isn't as common as those who ship Appledash so I'm grateful for you work.
