Scootaloo is celebrating Hearth's Warming with everypony on Sweet Apple Acres, but Scootaloo can't bring herself to join the fun because she's beginning to have doubts about Santa Hooves. When a magic train pulls up in the middle of the night and asks the crusaders to come on a journey to Hearth's Warming town in the Frozen North where Santa Hooves supposedly lives, will Scoot get her answer?

The ending got me it was sad and happy how she got old and nopony else could hear the bell but she still could. Thanks for the story.

4891985 If it makes you feel better I would think the other Crusaders could hear it as well. and thanks

4892127 oh I actually thought that was implied especially for sweetie belle her ticket said believe. thanks for the story.

Good story, it wasn't really as fun to read since i've already seen the Polar Express lol but it was still well done.

Dumb question but how can Scootaloo know what's going on in the engine room if she wasn't really there? Loving the story, by the way!

4891985 The writer seems to imply that Pinkie and Granny could still hear it.:raritywink:

7493660 its pinkie and granny smith, you cant question them, pinkie got her 4th wall abilities somewhere, now we know where.

7493660 you are correct my friend, Pinkie is the only member of the mane gang (and yes, that includes Starlight and Spike) who can still hear the bells. Granny Smith can also hear the bells. Also Cheeriliee can hear the bells as well as Cadence. Also I'd like to make a note, Diamond Tiara may have turned over a new leaf she still cannot hear the bells it's sad to say that she would find something as wonderful as Santa Hooves given the environment she's grown up in and the mother she has.

I absolutely adored this story! You captured the essence of the polar express very well. Bravo! Best adaptation of the polar express I’ve read. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for other Christmas classics

Certainly a word for word almost complete retelling of Polar Express.... but I'd be lying if I didn't say I loved it! It's been a long time since I last saw the movie and dang.... I have to watch it again.

I cried many times in this chapter alone. :applecry: The inner pride of Santa Hooves speaking to each CMC so warmly, the broken hearted feeling of losing the bell, the happiness to see Dinky so happy, and the ending... for all her friends to slowly stop believing in Santa and thus never hear those sweet chimes again.... and the sweetness of hearing Scoot still believes. :applecry::fluttercry::fluttershysad: So beautiful.....

My only critiques would be how the words were formatted, (like dialog in the middle of a paragraph) and some words misspelled, but those are minor issues. I got hit in the feels like I've not been in a long time and so I love it. :)
