Applejack and Big Mac head to Appleloosa over the summer break to help their cousin Braeburn with the grand opening of the Apple family Dude Ranch. Applejack invites Rainbow Dash to join them and she eagerly accepts.
Rainbow Dash has been thinking of the future and wanting to explore her feelings for Big Mac. Two weeks together away from Mac's responsibilities at Sweet Apple Acres seems like the perfect chance for Rainbow Dash to profess her desire for the shy farmer. However, Big Mac becomes smitten with the liaison from the local Indian tribe, which means Rainbow Dash will have to compete for Big Mac's attention. It doesn't help that Braeburn takes a certain shine to Rainbow Dash. Why does teen romance have to be so complicated?

When Mac was talking about the farm being his destiny and burden, I could hear 'Apples to the Core' playing in my head for some reason.
So... jealous much, Rainbow? She's young enough for a crush and has been through tough enough times that she might be a bit possessive.
Uh oh! We're running into a multiple misapprehension mix-up here! At the very least, poor Strongheart and Braeburn are going to be spare wheels in a weird kind of love triangle. To make it worse, Rainbow is lying in the weird impression that AJ would interfere with her stalking Big Mac, which means AJ is going to be thinking that Strongheart is a possible rival for her friend's newfound crush!
Nothing good can come of this.
I don't know why it took me this long to get to this, but I'm glad I did. We appear to be at ROMCOM 3 at minimum. (It's like DEFCON, only with wacky misunderstandings among star-crossed lovers.)
In any case, looking forward to more whenever it may come.
