It's been a long time since the talent show, and Sweetie Belle has forgotten all about the bolt of fabric she abused and insulted that day.

But the fabric did not forget, and the fabric did not forgive.

I must say that was absolutely nothing like I expected. For a completely silly concept to be played up seriously is something you don't see much... yet it's one of my favorite things that is never done. I find it hilarious, and while finding humor in the actual death of a filly may be frowned upon, I still found it amusing. Perhaps it would have been less jarring and more thematic if Rarity saved her in dramatic fashion with something silly like an iron or a washing machine. Overall though I have to say I really enjoyed this story. Thumbs up.

Take a silly idea, convert it to something dark, play the horror completely straight. It's something I love to do. It's kinda like a social experiment, in a way. Some may find it hilarious for the concept, while others may find it horrifying for the execution.

I actually hadn't considered having Rarity intervene. The whole plot came to me a few seconds after the initial spark of the idea and it flowed out in less than an hour. Thanks for the input, but I think jarring is what I'd prefer for this one (there's something wrong with me, I just know it). Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for reading.

That was both amusing and darkly horrible.
I love it. :pinkiehappy::pinkiecrazy:

I aim to please, dear reader.

This comment pleases me greatly, for reasons I'm not sure I'm proud of. :pinkiecrazy:

That seems like an appropriate reaction, yeah.

My brain is still trying to process what it just read. I think it's settling on "wtf" with a dose of "that was amazing". :pinkiecrazy:

Ah, I see we understand each other; I question why I wrote this every time I think about it.

Why would the fabric try to get revenge on Rarity at the end? Rarity didn't do anything.

I doubt Rarity wanted to use that stained cloth anymore. It probably felt really alone, unwanted, and unappreciated like Nightmare Moon. I pretty much just put that in there because it felt like the way to end such a horror story, cliché as it is.

3398683 that cliff hanger was brilliant :pinkiehappy:

And you should check out Sir Barton's stories. They are really cool. :pinkiehappy:

I'll take a look, yeah. He seems to have some interesting concepts.

I gotta say, seeing that happen in the new episode was pretty funny and pretty cool for me.

And the moral of the story is, give your unwanted fabric to Goodwill. (Then it'll be their problem Ah-heh-heh-heehhhh.:pinkiecrazy:)
It's upvoted.

I thought this would have been funny

Hmm, I was expecting the fabric would engage in some torture or similar thing, prolonging Sweetie's end.

But then again, it is dumb fabric, after all...

You shouldn't have say that. . .
GUESS WHO
. . . run!

OMG BEST STORY EVER! I could've seen this as a terrible had it not been written correctly. But you . . . you went above and beyond! Keep on writing! How do I subscribe to you. I'll check the comments later for the answer! :raritystarry:

I don't even know how this got on my read later list, but I'm glad it did. Too often do I see them saved in the nick of time. Nice to see her suffer consequences for her actions. Good story.

Suffer the consequences of her actions? I mean, sure, if someone costs you over $9000 through sheer negligence this might be an appropriate response, but Sweetie Belle just called the fabric dumb!

"She cut me to pieces and then hung me out to dry. She used me to make a mockery of fashion. I was ruined. Damaged goods. Nopony wanted me anymore, not for anything but scrap. A crueler filly I'd never met before, and still haven't met since. "

Eh...I take back my previous comment.

Damnnnn. This was intense. But really well done!

Chilling, recorded for the audiobook version to come soon :)
