Bored out of their minds and a sudden rainstorm ruining their plans of destruction—er, search for new Cutie Mark ideas, the Cutie Mark Crusaders decide to sneak into Rarity's attic and find a few things to keep them occupied.

A fun fic I made that won first place in the Cuteness Overload first group contest! So expect, well... adorableness!

Inspired from the cover of one of the MLP Micro Series comics.

Congrats on winning the contest!!

3351268 Thanks! It was tons of fun, so the winning was just another addition.

3351397 Glad you enjoyed it~

3351525 I will take ALL of your likes--and huggle them tight. :3 Thank you.

Very nice, short, sweet, and to the point. Feels like a real episode of the show. I love it!

Lots of d'aaaaaaaawwwwwwww in this. I loved it!

This one had my vote in the contest, so have an instant upvote here. Oh, and one other thing:

3351580 Aww, that's such a great compliment. That's so nice to say.

3351862 Glad you liked it. That was what I was going for.

3352042 Yay

You won the contest? Yay!

By the way, the story was adorable. I did find a few errors though, so let me point them out.

“But didn’t Cheerliee give us homework?” asked Apple Bloom.

You misspelled Cheerilee, silly!

“No, not yet, just… JUST a little Wonderbolt costume… wow! That’s so cool! Scootaloo’s eyes beamed at the sight of the outfit.

Missing the end quotation after "cool!"

And finally, this:

“We got this!” Scootaloo declared, grinning cockily.

Just fantastic. Spot on characters and polished dialog, who could ask for more? The imagination segments felt genuine and invoked forgotten memories of my own youth.
My only gripe are the pop culture references. They felt obtrusive and caused me to pause and shake my head.
You expressed wanting to make it longer, but I think its very balanced as it stands now. The desire to extend it shows the reader was enjoying themselves and in my opinion makes the interruption more poignant / able to be emphasized with. Really though, what more could be added? A trunk has room for only so many giant novelty sunglasses!
This is one I'll definitely be reading again.

3352199 Goddamn, that name. I'll never get it right!

3352217 Glad you liked it so much. Sorry about the references, but I'd like to think they weren't too bad. I try to keep those limited since I know not everyone likes them.

3352269 It's okay. It's nowhere near as bad as the people who spell it Cherilie. That makes me want to punch small children.

3352275 That's so terrible but I laughed anyway. ... Oh, well.

3352279

That's so terrible

And that's what you're dating now. I hope you know what you've gotten yourself into (insert devil laughing emoticon from Skype)

Really really nice :pinkiehappy:

Liked it! :) Reminded me of playing dressup myself when I was a kid, back in Precambrium.

I like adorable things. And imagination. And cosplay.

The seas rolled viciously as the large ship with the Cutie Mark Crusaders’ symbol as the sail trekked through this vicious ocean. The sun reflected onto the water to give a lovely look to the dangerous place. Two ponies stood aboard the ship, ready to take on these waters. At the very top, watching the waves through a telescope, Apple Bloom watched Sweetie Belle swing by on a rope.

I think that might work better "as the large ship, with the Cutie Mark Crusaders' symbol on the sail,"
Just a couple commas and a word change.

This story is adorable, funny, and, (100% Rainbow Dash approved,) AWESOME! Btw, I love your profile picture. I'm planning on making a fic having to do with them going trick or treating. Can you help me with it?

3433717 Glad you enjoyed it. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to help anyone with stories anytime soon (I've already rejected one or two people in the past few weeks, and I do feel bad). I'm just swamped in school work, especially this week. Sorry, but once you put up the story, you should let me know, because I'd love to see it. :)

3434242 Oh, it's okay. I will make sure you see it but I'm already working on 2 so it might take a while. :raritydespair: But I'm almost done with my first one so I will let you know when I'm done with that story.

This story conflict was to kill boredom.
and the conclusion (Spoilers) they succeeded. :scootangel:

Where was this story the entire time I been on here? Gods I love it!!! I'm such a huge fan of the CMC, not one for happy endings but they are fillies so it's completely understandable, the hike reminded me of that episode of Spongebob where he and Patrick find the box and go up it, causing....well.....craziness:rainbowlaugh: 10/10:ajsmug:

Well that was a cute oneshot. It took a tick to get going but the imaginary scenarios worked well (poor Scootaloo given how Flight to the Finish went though).

Best part was Scoots inadvertently switching the game from pirates to tea party. Oops, (snicker).

Has Sweetie Belle been watching G3?

“Just don’t cause any trouble, and Rainbow Dash and Applejack are okay with it, it’s fine.”

Wait, why would Scootaloo need Rainbow Dash's permission? I'd understand if RD and Scoot had plans the following day (though I wouldn't necessarily understand Scootaloo blowing them off), but unless this was one of those stories where Scootaloo is an orphan and Rainbow Dash adopts her...

Please don't tell me this is one of those stories where Scootaloo is an orphan and Rainbow Dash adopts her.

Oh, and Rarity's line here could probably benefit from an 'if' or an 'as long as.'

5359735 No, it's not a Scootaloo adoption story. I'm not big on those. I honestly think Scootaloo has parents, but we just haven't seen them. I think it's a rather old trope these days. I don't know why I added her in there; maybe just so Scootaloo wouldn't feel left out? XD Heh, no idea.

5359767
An old trope based on very old fan theory based on us never actually seeing her parents. And since we never saw them, they could be both alive or dead.

... Schrodinger's parents? No. No, that's silly.

Anyway, Scootaloo should have parents or a grandmother or some legal guardian. Getting their approval would make sense in the context of this story.

5359787 Yes, very true. Noted, and thanks!

This was both fun and adorable. It really brings out a sense of the brightness, warmth, and liveliness of being a child.

“Miss Fancy-Lady… Highness.” She had to hold back her laughter but composed herself.

“What a lovely name, darlin’,” Apple Bloom commented, one hoof over her mouth in attempts to conceal her own giggles.

“Yes, darling. It’s so darling, darling… darling.”

“Darlin’.”

They couldn’t hold it anymore. They fell out of their chairs and burst out laughing, holding their stomachs and their hind hooves flailing.

This was so funny.

She held the rope—which happened to look like a scarf, but wasn’t—and began her trek upward.

:rainbowlaugh:

This was a really nice read. Thank you for sharing! :raritywink:
