An excellent conclusion. It grants both closure and wishful possibilities in regards with keeping in touch.

Most crossovers I indulge in - canon or otherwise - tend to end with the respective characters and/or worlds just separating. Like the true ending to Warriors Orochi 3

I must admit, I'm a little sad to not witness Thomas complain about Deadpool's cursing, only for Deadpool to point out that Thomas' show was narrated by a guy who practically invented swearing.
