Alright we have the setup. One thing I noticed was that when Rarity was talking about why can't a mare love a mare, she didn't really explain why or how it's "bad". All she said was not normal. I think maybe explaining how Ponyville, or just ponies in general view gay couples in this story will help us understand Rarity's fears. Is it just not normal or is it we will treat you differently because of it.
Besides that I liked it, it was short so I think I'll read a bit more when the other chapters come out to see if I'll keep track of it.
Now I'm just thinking about how Applejack will react to Rarity kissing and cuddling a doll made to look like her. It's sweet but still kind of creepy when you think about it.
...well, okay then. The only thing here that bothered me was the authors notes. Instead of the whole "it's my first fanfic!" thing, why don't you tell us how you got your inspiration for this fic? Would really like to know what you were thinking while you gave Rarity a Applejack plushie. Anyways, it's pretty good story, very interested in why she finds it wrong to love another mare. Is it illegal? Are there discrimination against hot lesbian couples? Or is she just overreacting (which is LAME!!!)?
Hopefully all this and more will be revealed in the next few chapters.
P.S. BTW really don't get why all the dislikes, not really seeing what's so wrong with this fic.
