Pinkie wants them to be closer, but that can't happen if they aren't on even terms with one another. So together they will visit the old abandoned Rock Farm. This story is a sequel to More Than a Memory

Velvet's sickness was perhaps the least endearing quality about her, and yet when it became apparent that her health would only continue to deteriorate, it seemed to be the only thing that her close ones seemed to concern themselves with when they spoke to her. Instead of filling their last days of her with lasting memories of who she was and the passions in her life, they would ask her how she was feeling or tell her how they'd pray for her well-being. Her friends and associates distancing themselves from her so as to prepare for the worst, possibly out of their own fear of death, she becomes more alone in her final days. The one exception to this is her dearest friend, Pen Name.

When Velvet had first met Pen Name, a name he'd given himself when he'd finally made his mark in the world of literature, at a coffee shop, he had only just started out in his career as an author. Though he lacked experience, the funny witticisms and profound passion he shaped into his stories moved her in a way that inevitably led to them growing closer as friends. In her dying days it was the memories of their budding companionship that she desired to make long-lasting once she was gone.

Rough'n Tumble has been an elite member of the Barding Order for a number of years. Traveling the land and dealing with rogue elements like monsters, casters of foul magics, and bandits just to name a few, he has served with honor and courage for the good of Equestria.

However, despite being one of the best Outriders there is, neither he nor any other member of Barding has ever been called to help Ponyville through a single one of their numerous disasters, and it makes him more than a little curious about this supposedly peaceful town that draws trouble like honey draws flies.

Since he has some time to kill, he figures it's about time he saw this place for himself. After all, it's just a vacation trip to a sleepy little town with an over-exaggerated series of strange events.

Right?

This story is a sequel to Post Negative Comments Only

He's been reassigned so many times as to have a file thicker than his armor. There are ponies who doubt his ability to cross a room without creating a disaster, and he's one of them. Banishment to Moon is in fact too good for him. He's the single least suitable member in the history of the Crystal Guard, and history had better be prepared to take on eternity if it's ever going to see him surpassed. Because Flash Sentry starts every morning with a silent declaration of I'll get fired today and goes to sleep on I'll be fired tomorrow.

Or maybe that's more of a prayer.

Hi! I have adopted this story from Crimson Blade79, and they adopted it from someone else. I'm here to continue it, and hopefully do justice to all those who have worked on it. I am looking for an editor/proofreader, and I would be happy to consider anyone who is willing to take the job. To those of you who have already read this, it may be a little different from what you remember. I can only hope I do well...
Updates won't be frequent, not with school, so expect this to be a reeeeeeaaaally slow-updating fic. Hope you all enjoy!
