My alternative headcanon for Derpy - perhaps she's not "a few sandwiches short of a picnic" like we all thought! There's not much actual fear in the story. And no loathing at all. Misleading title — sorry.

Flash fiction is traditionally under 1000 words, but this site places a 1000 word minimum length on stories, so I've also included an epilogue, which fills out Derpy's story even more. (The epilogue can be seen as an optional extra - each chapter can be read as standalone story.)

After listening to the Legend of the Lavender Alicorn, the group of foals continued their tour of the rest of the history museum. Suddenly their eyes caught sight of a another interesting painting. This one featured an epic battle. When asked what this was, their guide told them of the story of the Sun Princess and the war between the ponies and the Minotaurs.

Princess Luna’s ability to enter the dreams of ponies has been fading, and in her dreams she has premonitions regarding Stellar Nightfeather-- Captain of the Lunar Guard. Joe is sent to investigate Nightfeather, who resides in the night skies of Cloudsdale; now a territory of the NLR. Joe has to stop Nightfeather from releasing a terrible power onto the ponies of Equestria. However, in order to complete his mission, Con Man will have to contend with Nightfeather's voluptuous lieutenant, Spitfire, and his deadly monster servant, Larry.

Inquisitor was the last surviving Reaper to have avoided the new solution. What does he do when his very existence becomes obsolete? Easy. Upgrade. In this case, ripping the mind of some poor schmuck, Jeff, and putting him in charge. And now the Great Reaper Jeff enters the land of Ponies and Friendship to study organics. What could possibly go wrong?

Little Idea that popped into my head while I was writing other stories and put it to print. Whether it goes on or gets passed to someone else willing will depend on the comments and reactions I get.
