I promised that once the Griffon Kingdom arc of Midnight Rising was finished, I would try to do a single chapter of Continuation and Chronicles before working on Nightmare Night. So here we go. Thankfully, I already have about 7000 words to work with that I removed from the ending of the previous chapter. So hopefully, it won’t take too long. I guess it depends on how easily I’m able to ease back into it after five months since the last chapter.

Pun sadly intended. I started writing a new Midnight Rising chapter on Saturday, and so far it’s not been a struggle at all, with over 5600 words already down on it. But then again, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, given it involves a race near and dear to my writer heart—the griffons. You’ll get to see Midnight as she educates herself on the Kingdom and griffon anatomy along with their rather unique concepts of sensuality, with perhaps a minor assist from Juniper Neptune.

I have to say, folks... I’ve been very happy with how the last two chapters have been received. There’s been tons of positive feedback, and I’ve picked up a slew of new likes and watches. So why not keep working on it? The next chapter will be draft complete and off to prereaders today. After running my new chapter past prereaders and discussing it with them, the conclusion was unanimous—they loved all of it including the powerful combat scenes and especially some very hot adult action at the end, but the ending scene exceeded an R-rating. Even if the last preread is in tonight, I won’t release because I still have to a) give it two more editing passes, b) create the T-rated version of the upcoming chapter, and then c) edit that.
