In a world where ponies see in grayscale until they meet their soulmates, finding your soulmate is a momentous occasion, where the special connection between you quite literally colors your life. When Twilight began dating Rarity, she didn't mind that she couldn't see in colors.

Or, so she thought, until the day Rarity suddenly could.

RariTwi Challenge fic meant to be a different take on one of the many Soulmate!AU prompts circulating Tumblr.

Darkness envelops Equestria. No one could have stopped Nightmare Moon from taking over, and with no Celestia and no hope at all the world is in a grim place. Unbeknownst to the new Empress, two colours bring a new light in her precious land of darkness.

A poem in ten parts, this story was created for Monochromatic's Rari/Twi fanfic contest, and funnily enough inspired by their work, The Enchanted Library.

But when a timberwolf attacks Twilight while she is in the Everfree Forest searching for the rare flowers, she ends up in the hospital. Will Twilight be alright? More importantly, will Rarity?

When one has been alive that long, one gains a lot of experience and learn some valuable lessons. How to stay alive, how to separate chiffon and georgette and how to get your crush to notice you.
Ok, perhaps not the last one. Apparently Twilight Sparkle don't get subtle hints. But then, when you are a supernatural being with some rather enthralling powers and opportunity knocks...

Really, darling, it's not like some good, old-fashioned mind-control could hurt someone! Right?

Right.

Everypony enjoys myths and ponytales, even if they know such things aren't real. Alicorns fighting against a spirit of chaos? An ancient princess trapped in a library under a tree, waiting to be found? Quite enchanting and fantastic tales yes, but nonetheless as fictional as Daring Do and other such stories. At least, that's what Rarity used to think.
