Rainbow Dash goes to Twilight's library to borrow the new Daring Do book, but while Dash was there, she found a book with the name of "My Little Dashie". Rainbow is confused on why the hay was there a book with her name on it. Of course, Dash reads it.
It's not what she expected.

After the events of Thrown Abroad, Suncloak the changeling is happily living in Ponyville. Well, sort of. He needs the love of friendship to stay alive! Luckily, there's plenty of ponies who would want to be friends with him. But let's not forget about other changelings here...

I'm stuck in Equestria, which reminds me of the dark ages. Instead of internet and fast-food, I have Rainbow Dash. She's been asked to help me learn to fit in... I'd like a refund.

I suppose we got off to a good start, aside from being told that after all I'd done I'd never see Earth again. So long as I can look on the bright side of life, and not get arrested for running pranks on everypony with Dash, I might just survive long enough to find my purpose in Equestria. So help me, however, if I get any vegetable related cutie marks I will choke a Princess.

An accident at the Wonderbolt Academy occurs, and many pegasi, including the Wonderbolts, are killed. Rainbow Dash was one of the ponies killed.

Scootaloo, who is distraught over the news of the accident, goes home to find a note from Rainbow Dash herself, proclaiming that she is indeed alive.

Scoots proceeds to give up her life of crusading and finding her cutie mark to find Rainbow Dash, even if she can't fly or doesn't have meaning in her life. She is determined to find her big sis, even if it means giving up every dream she ever had.
