Hearths Warming Day is almost upon the village of Ponyville and no two ponies are more excited then Sweetie Belle and Button Mash. For the energetic gamer, it's a chance to get as many new games as he wants, but for Sweetie Belle she's excited because she'll be living a dream. After a year of saving their money, she and her sister are going to the Manehatten Hearths Warming Show where all the best actors, musicians, and performers play for one night only.

However, when disaster strikes leaving Sweetie Belle's dreams shatterd, Button resolves to help his best friend.

Rainbow, in a reversal of the usual pattern, comes to Fluttershy late at night because she's afraid to be alone. Something she saw on TV scared her so badly that, as much as her pride demands otherwise, she needs somepony to reassure her. The first pony she'd trust for that is her oldest friend.

Just a spur-of-the-moment one shot, getting some feelings out. I saw a scary movie and I couldn't sleep ... so I wrote a story instead of sleeping. My whole sleep schedule is boned now ... but maybe someone else who saw something scary and can't sleep now will like it.

Jason's life has grown dull. While some may have thought that the weekly monster attacks might have kept him on his toes, he had grown to learn that as the norm around town. Now, after months of living in Ponyville, he can't shake the feeling that there is a void in his life. He follows his usual routine every day: breakfast, a quick shower, followed by a quick walk to the park to read the newspaper. One morning, he finds two parents playing with their filly in the playground. As he watches, an idea sparks within his mind: why not adopt a pony of his own?
