Over a month has passed since the CHS Battle of the Bands. In that time, Sonata Dusk has become estranged from the other Dazzlings. Penniless, she attempts to secure a meal. Luckily, there's a warm burrito nearby. Less luckily, the burrito belongs to Sunset Shimmer. How will Sonata handle being face to face with her old foe?

This is a P.O.V.-flip of Sunset's story. Reading that half first is not required, but reading both is recommended.

Like its twin, this story is part of the Burritoverse continuity.

Sonata couldn't believe it. She wasn't smiling, she wasn't happy, and was clearly shattered. She could only think of one solution: Jump. Finish the job. Besides, who would care that she's dead? Nobody liked her anyways... except the ones that cared.

Sonata needs to learn to cook and Home Economics is her best bet, but nobody said she knew what she was doing.

An important dish is due next class and Sonata only has one day to learn. She'll make the most of it.

We've all wanted to at some point shout and start throwing food. Sonata has that thought and a reason Adagio and Aria are gonna help her.

Adagio tries to teach Sonata to drive and sets the blue knucklehead up for an experience that'll need double the insurance.

These two sirens are now stuck in traffic and they are set on driving, but this is not easy for Adagio, Sonata, or Aria, who was stuck in the backseat for a different reason.

(You don't need to read the prequel to understand this, but it would tell you where things are going in terms of success.)

A songless siren is a miserable thing. Not only was singing their weapon and their means of control, it was the sirens' preferred means of expression, recreation, and a part of their identities. As such, to say they've all been a little depressed since the Battle of the Bands would be a considerable understatement. Imagine their surprise when that which was taken from them is offered back on one very simple condition!

One very simple, somewhat embarrassing condition that involves cheering for their former enemies and waving pom-poms around. At least the outfits are cute, right?

Trixie was looking forward for her cruise trip on her summer vacation, but was ruined the moment she met up with a member of the Rainbooms and the Dazzlings and ended up on a trip with them. Just when her day couldn't get any worse, their ship was caught in a hurricane and then ended up stranded on a desert island. As Pinkie and Sonata were busy having fun, Trixie was determined to get herself off of this island without losing any more of her sanity.
