This story is a sequel to Brave New Pony World

For many years, Prince Mark Wells has been secretly working through Harmonic Composites, a company that was built both in Equestria and the United States and connected by portals for the purpose of building Equestria's economy and technology. The moment has come for Equestria to formally make itself known to the people of Earth and initiate open trade without revealing that they have been in contact for a long time already. After defeating many dangers in Equestria, they must now face the perils of a new world, including politicians and a vindictive young lady.

Taking that one necessary step forward to begin changing our life for the better requires a lot of courage. We must hold out our hearts and open up to others who will help us, even if we're scared of getting hurt. Life will not wait for us, so we must chase after it with all we've got. No matter how hard, how far, or impossible it may seem. We've got to find our happiness.

This is the story of one such changeling as she takes those first steps forward, her whole world changing right before her eyes.

Thanks to the efforts of Emberglow, her fellow Elements, and all who stood against tyranny, the twisted heart of the Holy Equestrian Diarchy was exposed and expunged. Some time has passed since then, and all the creatures of the land have settled into a new normal. While there are those who still cling to their old fear and hatred, the seeds of change have been planted in the hearts of many who once blindly followed a bigoted faith. Others have already embraced peaceful coexistence, following Emberglow’s example.

But sudden, unfathomable arrivals trigger a seismic shift, upending what everypony thought they knew and threatening to undo everything Emberglow and company achieved. Can they uncover the real truth once again and protect Equestria? Or will renewed violence and conquest sweep across the entire world under the purview of those who would claim absolute power?

Idol Hooves holds a special place in Equestria. He's probably the only exiled changeling to serve in the Royal Guard, or at least, that's what he expects, as exiles don't really broadcast that fact. However, it's well known that Princess Celestia loves all of her little ponies, and her guards perhaps more so, and that makes it one of the best ways for a changeling to discreetly feed.

But how does a changeling even get there, let alone get exiled in the first place? For that matter, why would it ever go to Canterlot? Set a number of years before the series proper, before Luna’s redemption, Idol details how he was exiled, the ponies he’s met, and the series of misadventures that led him to joining the Royal Guard, and should continue a good ways into the series, as something of an alternate perspective.

Soon, he’ll have to deal with a boisterous new princess to serve and a royal wedding in the works bringing a third to power. Will his old instincts bring this new life crashing down around him? What precipitates Chrysalis’s ill-fated assault on Canterlot? Is it really so wrong for a changeling to enjoy good craftsmanship to an obsessive degree?

Star Spark is on top of the world. It's summer break, his dad's just been promoted, and now he gets to be the ring-bearer for the Royal Wedding. Sure there's a concern that something might happen during it, but what are the odds of that?

Have you ever just been having a regular day, then suddenly, BAM, you're dead? Well, no, of course you haven't. But what do you expect to happen after you die? If the answer was getting shoved into an overly pink copy of a pony princess, you'd be lying. Worse yet, she made me an alicorn just like her, which causes a whole new set of problems.

Unfortunately, she was adamant that I stay and become her twin sister. I ditched her immediately in my bumbling confusion and fear, and who could blame me? The last thing on my mind was being here! Ponies, princesses, and twin sisters? What kind of fantasy story was that? I was on the run, hiding from guard patrols, and fighting for my next meal. However, my own hubris caught up to me in the end, and her super powerful mother, Cadance, found me and made me see how stupid I was being. And Cadance, is an absolutely crazy powerful pony, with an even more powerful maternal instinct. So when it came down to her word against mine, she was really hard to convince, and she wasn't taking no for an answer.

Discord was born from the voids of chaos, and on one Hearths Warming Eve, the young lord of chaos was given to the princesses Celestia and Luna to raise as their child. The two sisters must learn to cope with the baby draconequus and his antics as he drives the two crazy! Luckily they aren't alone in raising the child, as Princess Cadance becomes the royal babysitter for a while. But when she leaves to become the Princess of the Crystal Empire, Fluttershy takes the reigns as the new Royal Babysitter. Also, when Flurry Heart is born, Discord becomes an older brother to the filly. As the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child." But for the ponies of Equestria, it will take a kingdom to raise a draconequus
