Aria will protect her cousin from anything, even if she is a burden, especially when it comes to the newcomer to their duo, a siren filly named Adagio Dazzle with plans of her own. Soon Aria finds her words falling on deaf ears now that Sonata is entranced by the charismatic Adagio, who takes Aria's role as leader and guides the two the far north.

But Aria can't leave, even if her cousin is a burden because Sonata's all Aria has left, even if it means putting up with a wolf bearing the likeness of a sheep and all the heartbreak that comes with it.

When Celestia unexpectedly falls sick in the middle of the desert, it's up to a young Luna to somehow obtain medicine for her sister. She must brave the sands of the desert alone. During her journey, she learns that the medicine she seeks is farther away than she ever thought.

Celestia has many titles and duties and there are always things that remind her of this. They could be ponies or objects, perhaps even something more abstract and symbolic. Today is one such reminder of one of the lesser known roles, which she was never acknowledged for. She's even afraid to acknowledge it herself no matter how often the date repeats.
