The world had burst into flames around her. A dragoness fights despair and loss as she scribes a pattern onto the concrete floor of her bunker. A pattern that can take her to another world. A pattern that could be the end of her. But she has no choice. She has to complete it. So she can escape. So she can go to a new world.

Meanwhile, Spike is lost within a forest. He finds a surly, but grudgingly kind dragoness. She needs to get back to her world, though everything is lost.

Rated teen for violence and a little bit of blood and some hardcore philosophising.

Crossover from Hasai the Steel Dragon, an excellent story made by M. H. Glenn who will write better than I ever will. Knowledge of this crossover story is recommended. I'll endeavour to make the references minimal and fairly explanatory as with an original story, but sorry, I can't guarantee that you won't be lost.

Tags will be added when they become relevant. There's bleeding which I don't qualify as gore. The Teen tag should more than cover this. This has a bit of guns and edginess, if that's not your cup of tea, please know what you're in for if you read.

Spike is all alone in Ponyville. He has friends, a family, and a loving society around him, so how can he not be lonely? What he doesn't have around him, what he once craved during a foolish quest to find himself, is dragons. Spike’s egg was found abandoned in the forest, timber wolves were about to eat him. If it weren't for Celestia he would have been a goner, even if no pony, except for one with awesome powers, could hatch him.

As he verges on becoming a teenager, a miracle seems to happen for him. The most beautiful creature falls, no, crashes from the sky, landing near him. At first this creature is cursing at him and calling him names, but natural curiosity and joy overlook those brief moments, besides, she is obviously in pain as he drags her to safety.
The gorgeous creature he aims to heal with the help of ponies is a dragoness, only two years younger than him. The first week she stays there, she is in a magic-induced coma for head trauma, but when she is awaken and sees Spike not only helping ponies, but holding her back.....

Well, slight trouble arises, but surely this manly dragon can take the beatings his new dragoness friend wishes to deal out?

The Lost Soul.

This is the story of my second childhood, and how I found the strength to keep moving forward.

A dragoness who has seen the world and its wonders. A dragoness who has been on countless adventures and has found dozens, if not hundreds of treasures thought to be nothing but myths. A dragoness who hides a dark secret that is tearing her up inside, is forced to face her guilt head on when she takes a trip to Equestria.
A baby dragon who was raised by ponies. A baby dragon who feels at odds with his own kind. A baby dragon who wonders why he lives as he does will soon get his answer when a stranger comes to town.
Now two souls brought together by fate will build a bond that has always existed through trials and tribulations neither could have predicted.

This story was inspired by three things. The first was the breakout hit, Ten Years Gone, by Some Other Guy, of which you may notice some slight similarities in the beginning. The second was a comment that made me wonder, "What if it wasn't a human coincidentally made to look like Spike?" And the third was me watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The inspiration from that last one will become more apparent later in the story.

A chance meeting with a cute young dragoness puts Spike on top of the world. However, it quickly becomes clear he may be forced to chose between his pony friends or the girl who captured his heart.

Claire and Illusion have a bond that cannot be shaken, they have shared in each others happiness and shouldered one another during times of great grief. They have encountered many challenges during their time together, and together they faced them head on. And now life has chosen to throw them their greatest challenge yet, but are they truly prepared for the trials they will face?

They don't know, but they will brave the challenge, together.

Spike's got three whole days to himself while Twilight is away at the Crystal Empire. Three whole days to be independent and free to do whatever he wants.

Or he would have, if a female dragon hadn't mistaken him for an abandoned hatchling. Now he's been snatched up and taken to her home to be "properly cared for."

Stuck in a cave with an overly-protective dragon intent on mothering him...maybe he should have just gone with Twilight.

3 years ago, Princess Ember became Dragon Lord thanks to Spike. Her reign was satisfying, but it soon became too much for her to handle alone, and thanks to an old lost rule discovered, Ember found the key to all of her problems........Spike, becoming her consort to all of the Dragon Lands. Will the 2 of them be able to handle the new tasks and challenges that lie ahead of them?

This story takes place after 3 years from the episode "Gauntlet of Fire". Whatever events happen after the episode that deal with Spike and/or Ember will have no context whatsoever in this story.

After an accident with one of Twilight's machines, Spike turns into a teenage dragoness. Now known as Barb, she has to live life as a female until Twilight figures out how to reverse it. Barb ends up getting new feelings as a dragoness, and has a familiar red dragon, and a certain Pegasus guard end up falling in love with her. Barb has no idea what to do, and only hopes a spell comes soon to turn her back into a drake.

Once a Princess, now a Lord, Ember sends a letter to Princess Twilight to a situation that involves Spike. The letter seems serious and the dragons are already on their way. What could it entail about Ember's journey to Equestria? What does it mean for Spike?
