An opening of an art exhibition featuring the Wonderbolts premieres in Canterlot, drawing crowds of enthusiastic upper-crust ponies along with two much less enthusiastic Wonderbolts; Soarin and Surprise. Readying themselves in for a long and boring night of photos, autographs and hanger-oners, the unexpected arrival of a guest opens a door to Soarin's past; a door Surprise is all too happy to pry open a little further...

It's been two years since Sonic and Shadow defeated Discord and now thanks to Sonic's friend Tails they can return to the land of Equestria. But when they get there they learn that their old enemy Mephiles The Dark has returned and has the five of the main six under his control and Twilight and the princesses as his prisoners. Can Sonic and Shadow along with their friends stop Mephiles before it's to late? Or will Mephiles finally get his revenge?

*note* This story contains five of the six Elements of insanity and contains Nyx from Pen stroke's Past Sins. Although this story features Pen Stroke's Nyx (Past Sins), this story itself is not related to Past Sins, nor does it require a reading of Past Sins. Spitfire, Soarin and Fleetfoot have been working on a new trick called "The Triad Drive" A complex trick that not many trios of pegasi can accomplish. If not performed right, it can leave disastrous consequences on the performers. After the Triad Drive goes wrong, the three wonderbolts land safely as foals. The first one to notice this is Rainbow Dash, and she gladly decides to take care of them until a cure can be found/made. But when it's confirmed that there is no cure, Rainbow Dash will have to do the best she can on raising the three Wonderbolt Captains. Expect foalish fun and foalish things!

It's been several days since Rainbow Dash and her new friends used the Elements of Harmony to banish Nightmare Moon and return Princess Luna to Equestria. Sure, there were festivals and celebrations aplenty after that, but they've all died down and ponies have gone back to their lives and their jobs. Rainbow, in particular, is working a late night shift with the weather patrol in an effort to arrange early-morning showers.

She's more than a little surprised when she sees Twilight Sparkle headed out into the woods north of town with a telescope on her back and flies down to find out why.

Twilight explains that she's there to admire the job being done by another pony, one who hasn't had the chance to perform it in a very, very long time.

However, when she realizes the weight of crimes she has committed as Nightmare Moon, she decides to create an equally nightmarish servant to ensure she will not fail her subjects ever again.

This is a story about how a band of misfits become heroes. These heroes will face dangers, love, puzzles, and countless other blocks in their path to heroism.

Dash loves her son Clay and a has become a respectable mother. But what were things like before she accepted her responsibilities as a parent? How did she react to raising a foal on her own? How did she come to be called mommy?

This is a in between story of Dash raising Clay in Wings for a pony, taking place after chapter 2 and before chapter 3. Read Wings for a pony first before reading this story for full comprehension.
