This story is a sequel to Friendship Is Monsters

It’s been over month since Twilight first saved Sunset's life and began to make friends. She finds herself happy for the first time in a long time and breaking out of her shell. However, as she ventures out and expands her horizons, things are gonna get messy. Secrets will spill, faces from the past will return, and new threats lie around the corner.

Maybe friendship really isn't so scary, even if your new friends are monsters.

Maybe its all you have

The rite of the phoenix is one of the most celebrated moments among the sun-gazers of Solaria. For with the hatching of a new phoenix, comes the ascension of a new phoenix-born: a mortal chosen by the phoenix to be its new life partner and guardian. Only those with both strength and purity of their inner fire can draw the attention of a hatchling phoenix, so only the best of the best can ever hope to be chosen.

To one young orphan girl named Sunset Shimmer, she could only dream of witnessing the ascent of one of Celestia's chosen. As the day approaches, she learns that she will be able to, as she has been selected by the crown as one of the girls to serve at the event.

Little did she know that this would be the seminal event of her life, and change her fate forever.

Sunset waited outside the assembly hall, gazing down at her hands. Her mind was going over the spell again and again, remembering what the Princess had said, so long ago.
Behind the doors she could hear, even feel, the rumble of conversations inside the large room. No doubt everyone there knew what they wanted to say and do to her.

When Sunset Shimmer realized that the real reason the school had acted as it had was because of her past actions—and her willingness to pretend they had never happened—she decided to put an end to the whole thing.
Anon-a-miss.
The past.
And the hurt she had caused others.

In a way, believe it or not, tied to: The Destiny of the Ancients

It's been years since their days at Canterlot High School and maybe their lives have cahnged, maybe their bonds have broken, maybe they have separated or their roads have led to other parts.

Sunset has grown to be a famous art, with a future ahead of her, while Twilight is still the same quirky and awkward scientist, but their bonds are being tested by time and circumstances , after all, Twilight is still in a relationship with Timber and there is no real end to something like that.

Except that while drunk, their inhibitions are lowered, their desire for each other is shown and magic on Earth is raw and wild, doing stuff without explanation.

Is this magic that could change their lives and the lives of many other people.

As the world changes, their bonds will be put to the test and there is a question that needs to be answered; where does magic babies come from?

THE CLOCK TICKS ONE

Anon-A-Miss, a mysterious internet user who corrupted Canterlot High School. Everyone have accused Sunset Shimmer of this betrayal, even her friends have abandoned her.
Now Sunset is alone, as she once was, and depends only on herself to start again, among shadows ... New faces, and not so new ones, will come to her life.
Will Sunset be happy again? Canterlot will ever know the truth? What will happen to the magic of friendship?

After being purged of the darkness at the Fall Formal Sunset was hurt, and badly. She needed a home, and a place in someone's heart.

After the Friendship Games, life at CHS has settled down. No more magical villains to face, or impending disasters. Sunset and the others can go back to living as normal teenage girls. Or as close to normal as a group of magically empowered girls and a former unicorn from another universe can anyway.

But when Sunset gets into trouble, someone she never expected comes to help her, and her life will never be the same ever again.

Swimming Lessons

It's a familiar nightmare, one Sunset Shimmer has experienced frequently since her defeat at the Fall Formal: her friends fail to stop her, Princess Twilight falls, and she invades Equestria with her zombie army. This time, however, the portal is destroyed before she can use it and she finds herself trapped in Canterlot High, along for the ride and out of control as her demonic self goes about its own egotistical way.

And this is, after all, a dystopia. The night is young, and the city is full of scoundrels to be attracted by the promise of power, discord and cheap thrills. Able to do nothing except talk with her goofy, sardonic host, Sunset will have to find a way to stay sane until she wakes up... assuming this isn't already reality.

Written for NaNoWriMo 2016. Set post-Seasons 5 (shortly after Friendship Games).
