Twilight Sparkle and Trixie get into an argument about everything.

They also go on an adventure, fight monsters and save Equestria, but, you know, that's just a side point.

Pinkie Pie has a decent life, all things considered. Working at Sugarcube Corner, throwing parties, saving the world, making friends. She had a pretty good run. But when she comes face to face with the Grim Reaper and her own demise, she definitely doesn't want to let go. So she does the only thing she knows to do to avoid death itself, and challenges him to a game for her life.

But even if she wins, did she really escape death, or is she not out of his grasp yet?

Twilight Sparkle has lied to Princess Celestia; tried to deceive her.

Caught in her misdeed, Twilight needed to repair the damage she had done. Saying that she was sorry and a little groveling should have worked. Celestia is kind. Celestia is forgiving. The fear that Celestia would banish her to magic kindergarten for what she had done, was just that, an irrational fear. It should have worked. It would have if Trixie had kept her big... fat... mouth... closed.

If only she had been banished to magic kindergarten instead.

Princess Celestia has been planning for this day for years: the return of Nightmare Moon, the restoration of the Elements of Harmony, and the ushering of Equestria into a new age of friendship and love. Now that it's finally arrived, all she has to do is wait for Twilight to get to Ponyville, make some friends, hunt down the Elements, and save the...

Wait, what'd that letter say?

She didn't get on the chariot?

She went to whose party instead?

Oh. Oh, this could be bad. And more importantly, it's gonna need some hooves-on interference from Celestia to get her master plan back on track. But it'll probably all work out in the end. After all, how big a deal could one party be?

Scootaloo is attacked by Queen Chrysalis. It ends poorly... for Chrysalis.

This is a blatant crackfic; I regret nothing.

Someone once told me that if you can truly see the good in a person, then you can also see the true darkness in that person. Those are just a few of the words that I live by. But sometimes, there isn't any light to be seen in a person. When you can't see the light in a person, it just means that the darkness has overpowered the good in them. When Trixie Lulamoon discovers the instrument of her revenge, the Alicorn Amulet, the darkness in her truly overtakes the light, even if there was almost none to begin with. With one of the most powerful of all of Equestria's magical trinkets in her possession, how will those who have laughed in her face fare? My guess... is not very well.

Trinkets is a psychological look into the character Trixie shortly before the episode Magic Duel takes place. I think how attached she becomes to the amulet really shows just how easy it is to becomes lost in the darkness.
