Twilight Sparkle just can't find enough time in the day. She has to study friendship for the Princess, hang out with her five friends, and juggle her own hobbies and interests besides. But when a novel solution presents itself in the form of an experimental new spell, will it solve her time crunch, or will she be distracted even further?

In the moments before Pinkie Pie's very first celebration, she meets a pony that will become her life long aquaintance and adversary. What's a pony to do when your worst enemy is yourself?

A Showmare by trade, what's a pony to do when her special talent, the one thing in life that sets her apart from everypony else, prevents them from attaining the one thing she desires more than anything? What is Trixie to do when her own worst enemy is herself?

A/N: A couple things to note.

Firstly, this IS a Multi-Chapter story, and I'd appreciate any constructive criticism towards it. I want this to be the best it possibly can.

Secondly, I'm open to any ideas anyone may have with the direction of this story. your suggestion will be considered if appropriate.

Lastly, The tag may say sad, but if anything, the story will only be a little so. If you're turned off by sad fics, give it a chance at least before making judgement.

Twilight can't control her feelings for Rainbow Dash, and doesn't go according to plan in the whole Mare-Do-Well Scheme.

Pinkie Pie is haunted by feelings of self-hatred, stemming from the day she left her family to be on her own. Never wanting to see her best friend in a crazed state of distress again, Rainbow Dash resolves to reconnect her with her estranged family and bring an end to the personal demons once and for all.

Pinkie Pie's crush on Rainbow Dash is possibly the worst-kept secret in all Equestria. Rainbow doesn't really pay it much attention, though, until Fluttershy asks her to make an important promise. It sounds easy enough to keep ... but a promise, like love, is often harder and more complicated than it first appears.
