A substitute.

This story takes a generic tale of one of the CMC's many misadventures and then is rewritten in a style of a great well-known author... or perhaps even a FiMFiction author if I get around to it.

It is meant to be a parody.

Ever since the defeat of Nightmare Moon, Princess Luna has tried to fit in and ease her subjects into loving her once again. Still, even after a thousand years, there is still a hint of jealousy within the Princess of the Night. Not wanting to have yet another Nightmare Moon experience, Princess Celestia asks her student, Twilight Sparkle, to help in any way she can.

Will Twilight be able to find a way to abolish Luna's jealousy completely? Will her friends be able to help in preventing yet another Nightmare Moon incident? Will everything turn out all right in the end?

Of course it will.

Queen Chrysallis died in the aftermath of that ruinous invasion of Canterlot. But Tartarus would not be my afterlife, and death not my reaper. No, Ponyville is to be my purgatory, and my socially-inept roommate, Moon-Butt, my rather overly-enthusiastic reaper. I now live on borrowed time at the whims of my layabout of a roommate. To earn my freedom I must be able to not only prove that a changeling can live as a pony but also earn affection as one. But in between trying to get used to the notion that friends aren't food and learning to join the flash mobs in song and dance, I find that there is more to being a pony than meets the eye.

That was the good news. The bad news? I swear by the Ancient Ones, this useless sloth I have to share a room with is simply using me as an excuse to be an incompetent freeloader away from her sister's watchful eyes. You know everything has gone hooves-up when I'm the voice of reason. But bills need to be paid, bits need to be earned, and I have to somehow save up enough to move out of this flat. For my sanity's sake.

Octavia may be a gifted musician, but that doesn't mean she always liked her instrument. After all, what filly grows up wanting to play a huge contrabass?

After overwhelming Ponyville's mayor, the main six must fill in as she takes a much needed vacation. Yet, only one pony can take the title of mayor at one time. Which of our favorite ponies will be the first substitute mayor? How long will she be able to last before passing the job to somepony else? And in the end, will Ponyville survive long enough for its real mayor to return?

This story was written as a prize commission for the Smile Album Charity Event. The original prize was one by Stormy Seas and he provided the original premise for this story. He always wanted a story that could be shared and enjoyed by everyone, so be sure to thank him if you know him.

The arrival of a new "Star Buck's Coffee" in Ponyville is putting the pressure on Sugarcube Corner. The Cakes worry they'll soon be forced to say 'goodbye' to their bakery, until Pinkie Pie discovers a sugar-craving plant. Is this bizzare vegetation the bakery's saving grace, or will Pinkie Pie find it's growing appetite too much to handle?

A greedy corporate baron, a ravenous plant, musical numbers, and romance. Three of these four things are in this story, and since there's no shipping tag, you only get one guess.

Rarity returns to Ponyville from a business vacation in the camel homeland, bringing gifts for all her friends. Amongst the souvenirs, Fluttershy receives is a beautiful, blue bottle. Yet, upon taking the bottle home, she quickly discovers it contains something magical: a genie.

How will Fluttershy use the three near-limitless wishes she has been given, and why does this feline genie's smile seem to mask more than it reveals?

There is a secret in Equestria. A secret the newly crowned Princess Twilight Sparkle doesn’t dare to believe. Like puppeteers pulling on marionettes, they have influenced Equestria for better and worse since the fall of Discord. So far they have been benevolent, but their potential for evil is vast. What’s worse, she doesn’t know their name. She doesn’t know their mission. All she knows for certain is one thing.

That they all seem to be zebra.

One day, Applejack was petrified by a cockatrice in the Everfree forest.
It was a long time before she was ever revived.

A story of moving through lives and the bonds forged in-between.

Was begun before the season four finale, so disregard anything in canon relating to Tirek. He does not exist in this story's timeline.
