E

n. pl. suc·ce·da·ne·a (-n-)
A substitute.

This story takes a generic tale of one of the CMC's many misadventures and then is rewritten in a style of a great well-known author... or perhaps even a FiMFiction author if I get around to it.

It is meant to be a parody.

A very fun experiment. I'll be watching this to see what happens next! Do you have any ideas of authors to try? Hemingway? Austen? Pratchett? Shakespeare?

1186173 I'm actually trying Alexandre Dumas at the moment. Also on the list is Arthur C. Clarke, Ayn Rand, and Douglas Adams (which should be fun).

I thought about Shakespeare, but let me get these authors out of the way first. Dumas is proving pretty difficult.

Oooh, Dumas is one of my favorite authors! That'll be interesting!

Ooh, interesting. Writing in famous author's styles? This will be a fun read.
You should definitely do Shakespeare. I've even considered writing in Shakespeare's myself in the past, it would be an interesting experience.
I especially loved Pinkie's little Boromir speech in chapter 2.

Looks interesting.

Can you try Rick Riordan?
(author of percy jackson.)

1189963 I can only promise to try.

This would be so much fun to see as a Lovecraft. Have you thought about perhaps inviting other authors to contribute? There are so many awesome fimfic writers and so many classic/contemporary mainstream authors to choose from. On the whole 'tis a great idea, excellent execution. I must know, did you mean to use 'heroine' or the drug heroin? Either way works for me.

5909480 Well, heroine, I suppose. Depends on the author.

I really was going to imitate some of the other authors on the site, yes. There are actually a number of chapters that haven't been published because I haven't gotten around to brushing them up.
