In an Equestria without the Princesses or the guidance of the Elements of Harmony, Twilight Sparkle is a researcher on the cusp of her greatest discovery and simultaneous fall from grace while finding love at the same time.

In the aftermath of her battle against Tirek, Twilight Sparkle is unwell. She wants more. She needs more. And she is afraid of what others might think of her.

But even in the midst of her growing despair that she has betrayed everything she stood for, she learns something about friendship and what it means to be an alicorn.

Paradoxes are impossible by definition. You can't create a paradox, the universe won't let you.

So how exactly did Twilight manage to create a closed time loop?

A silly one-shot idea that popped into my head after seeing the Season 4 finale, that wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote it out.

Trixie steals the deed to the Golden Oaks Library. She quickly finds out this doesn't mean what she thinks it means.

Tirek has won, and Twilight's friends are gone. She and the other princesses have just one chance left. Maybe if one of them can go back, she can warn them right when he escapes and stop this all from happening.

It might be a long shot, but it's the only chance they have left.

Applebloom just wanted to spend a day with her friends, crusading for her cutie mark. Instead, she found something even deeper and more troubling about herself. Turns out she's not even a member of the Apple Family by blood. In fact, she's not even truly native to Equestria! She's an alien! An alien robot no less!

Now Applebloom will have to deal with the reality of her origins and try to cope with them and her newfound abilities as she moves towards her future; a future that just might never come to be if her new foes have anything to say about it. Decepticons are, after all, a monstrous cabal.

Now, it's up to Applebloom to light Equestria's darkest hour.

Applejack is known for a lot of things: being honest, being strong, loving her family... apples. But the thing she's most known for is having a really incredible set of eyebrows. It's for this reason that Celestia has seen fit to bestow upon Applejack that highest of honors. She's going to make her a princess... of eyebrows.

Unfortunately, this results in Applejack's friends thinking they were Applejack! The real Applejack has to pull out all the stops to try to get her friends back to normal!

We all have to accept the consequences of our actions. Sunset Shimmer learns this when she decides to return to Equestria with Twilight Sparkle and face Princess Celestia's judgement. Knowing full well that she did something wrong, she expects to be punished. However, sometimes our punishments are not what we expect.
