So when a simple game goes wrong, then Dash's favourite fictional heroine's latest tale takes a turn for the romantic, why does she suddenly find herself with a rose between her teeth?

When the young Twilight gets her mind set on something, nothing will pull her away. Sometimes this determination leads her to do great things; other times it dumps her in the pouring rain. And, of course, she drags princess Celestia along for the ride.

Caramel had always dreaded Hearts and Hooves Day. This year merely reinforced his opinions.
He never seemed to hold onto somepony for long. He had no idea until today that a relationship could be made and broken in one day.
Broken, he returns to Sweet Apple Acres in his habit of saying his goodbyes until next week. Also to once more think on what could most likely never be between him and a certain cowgirl pony.

A fairly short Caramel x Twilight shipfic written for Hearts and Hooves day.

Caramel has fallen head over hooves for the mare of his dreams, and as luck would have it, Hearts and Hooves day is hooves! Armed with a hoofmade Hearts and Hooves day card, a box of chocolates and a bouquet of flowers, he sets out to capture her heart.

If only she didn't live ninety feet in the air.

Only a few months after the beginnings of their unusual relationship in The Social Experiment, Twilight and Caramel seek to find out where the stable ground is in their relationship; how to account for responsibility, honesty, loyalty, respect, and devotion; and what it truly means to love another.

Hey, everyone. OtterMatt here. Just for the record, I’m not coming back to FimFic. Not ever. I’m sorry to say it, but my life has moved on, as it were, and writing just isn’t a part of it anymore.
