Summers, Springs, Winters, Falls. For many years these four alicorn control the four seasons in Equestria, they were called the alicorn’s of the seasons. That was until Discord showed up, he corrupted the magic in Equestria and the four alicorn’s lost their control over their season’s. For two hundred years the four sisters had no control over their seasons, they wanted that Discord pay for his cries but Celestia refused, so the ponies of Equestria became in charge off the four seasons. The four sisters were also four of the six of the elements of harmony, loyalty, honesty, generosity and laughter. Then Luna became Nightmare Moon and Celestia needed their help and then everything changed.

After the events of "A Canterlot Wedding: Part One," Twilight Sparkle encounters the League of Extraordinary Misfits, a group of outcasts each from a different world. The League decides to adopt Twilight as one of their own and help her take revenge on the ponies who coldly dismissed her. But Twilight surely wouldn't want something like that to happen to her friends...would she?

In the aftermath of a Canterlot Wedding Invasion, Twilight decides to leave on her own. Far away from feeling abandon of betrayal, trust, and friendship. Until she heard some kind of whispers or voices calling to her from the Crystal Cave she recently escaped with Cadence. Finally arriving at the cave entrance, Twilight walks inside it and sees a glowing tainted light. Not knowing the danger, Twilight tries walking closer to it until something inside the tainted light grabs a hold of her and drags her in. Twilight later wakes up upon seeing a burned town and felt strange that her whole body transformed into a human. Then something told her to look behind her and sees a lone tall figure on the back of his horse looking down at her. What'll happen when Twilight faces the King of Darkness and will Equestria ever be safe without her?

Although your new life might be as close to perfect as it could possibly get, doubts begin to surface in your mind as to why you have been treated so kindly. Why have you been accepted? Fed? Clothed? Housed? Why have any of these things occurred when you have done nothing to deserve them?

A certain Princess of the Sun provides the answer.

Sunset waited outside the assembly hall, gazing down at her hands. Her mind was going over the spell again and again, remembering what the Princess had said, so long ago.
Behind the doors she could hear, even feel, the rumble of conversations inside the large room. No doubt everyone there knew what they wanted to say and do to her.

When Sunset Shimmer realized that the real reason the school had acted as it had was because of her past actions—and her willingness to pretend they had never happened—she decided to put an end to the whole thing.
Anon-a-miss.
The past.
And the hurt she had caused others.

Unhappy that her future as a member of the monarchy is denied by Celestia, Sunset Shimmer escapes through Starswirl's mirror into another world, planning to take it over to prove once and for all she was fit to rule. What she didn't expect—besides a species change—was to arrive in a world already conquered.

Sunset Shimmer having been kicked out of her home, by her mentor, for seeking power, escapes through the mirror and finds herself in a world devastated by a substance known as tiberium.

The world has two superpowers vying for control of the world and the tiberium on it. Both groups are seeking ways for humanity to survive the dangerous crystals that grow by absorbing everything around it.

The Global Defense Initiative is a large military group that originated from the United Nations focuses mostly on the first world countries and negating or reducing the spread of tiberium.

The Brotherhood of Nod, however, is a religious quasi-state. It is dedicated to spreading tiberium so that everyone can share in its effects, and modifying humanity so that they can survive exposure to tiberium. They are devoted to the ideas of peace, unity and brotherhood. They believe that they can achieve this through the spread of tiberium and the defeat of the oppressors: GDI.

Sunset joins The Brotherhood of NOD in their quest for Peace Through Power.
