Truth or myth? Ancient lost civilization or just an old pony's tale?

No pony has ever seen one, and most haven't even heard of them. But Lyra knows that these wonderful creatures are more than just old legends, and she's going to find out... and possibly drive her roommate insane in the process.

John Morrison, a cold hearted, sometimes quiet, smartflank who has been through many tough times in his life. Starting when he was twelve and in middle school. He had to choose two path's after his parent's deaths. He chose the path to protect and serve. On one mission however, the team's jeep got hit with an RPG. Everyone but John managed to get out of the jeep, with him being in the gunner seat, so he took most of the blast. When he awoke, he was in a strange land, and totally unharmed. With his pistol drawn, he sets out to find how he got into this strange land.

Yes, Ik I'm currently working on an HiE fic, but I thought I'd give a shot at MiE...see if it was more my speed. In February of 1945, the Nazi war machine is getting desperate. From the west, the combined weight of the British and American counterpush from the Battle of the Bulge is gaining steam. From the east, twenty million Russian soldiers are marching onward towards the destruction of Nazi Germany. The Germans are attempting to find any way to turn the tide, and one avenue they have chosen is science. In two locations, one in Poland, and one in western Germany, two machines are being made. The Germans have discovered how to use them, and have discovered a new subject of interest through the gates of the machines......

I've been writing the rough draft of this for about two weeks now. The first few sections are ready, so they're up.

Instead of being killed in the cold Antarctic by Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach finds himself rematerialized in a strange new, pony filled world. He finds himself drawn into the lives of the ponies of Ponyville but some ponies fear that this sociopath will bring danger and darkness to an otherwise peaceful existence. Will the mane 6 help Walter Kovac find peace within himself or will he bring them all down with him in his cold views of reality and existence?
