I'm lucky to have two of my favorite, (and also way underrated authors) on this site pre-reading for me, HMXTaylorLee and DemonBrightSpirit. Their work is seriously excellent and unappreciated so go check them out.

This story takes place in an Alternate Universe where Quills and Sofas sells more than two things.

Vinyl is quite happy with her life. A minor secretary, she lives her life one day at a time, thoroughly determined to not let a good memory pass her by.

Octavia hates her life. She's the conductor of the orchestra she's played in for years, and suddenly realizes she hates everything about it. She just wants some freedom, some joy, something to smile about.

Fate brings these two together, and you get the auspicious opportunity to read their story.

Well you've put me off now. Yes where was I? So recently, like I've said life is really really dull. But perhaps, just perhaps, it might be looking up for me. Earlier the new Girl, the white unicorn with the dodgy specs, and the dodgy headphones, and dodgy tastes in music, arrived in my music hall. We had a nice chat, and not to be presumptuous, but I think I've made a new friend. Result!

Twilight has just defeated Tirek and is adjusting to her new life in the castle when Celestia assigns her a new task unlike anything she's taken on before, and a certain cyan colored whether pegaus admits her feelings towards Twilight.

First time writer, bear with me here. Constructive critism is certainly welcome!
Rated teen to be safe, some Twilidash, but probably fine for everybody.

Please note, my version of Twilight's castle is probably not accurate, though we won't know until season five. I chose the castle layout for my story, so please just go with it.

Crossover. However, I just take the basic idea of the video game and transform it. Playing the game yields no spoilers whatsoever. Meaning, you don't have to have played the game to understand this story.

Pinkie Pie is the Priestess of Regeneration: she has to go on a dangerous quest to heal the world, so says the Princess Goddess Celestia. She will be accompanied by her teacher, crystal pony Twilight Sparkle, and the mercenary knight Captain Spitfire. She will need protection from the Desians (a mixed-blood race of half crystal pony, half non-crystal pony) who wish to continue the scarring of Equestria, as well as the monsters who guard each Element of Harmony. There are six elements, and all are required to unlock the path to a tower built by the crystal ponies: the Tower of Harmony.

However, the quest gets complicated. Pinkie Pie's best friends Rainbow Dash and Trixie Lulamoon (Twilight's younger sister), through a cruel twist of fate are banished from their home village because they'd accidentally initiated an attack by the Desians. And, what's more, the five encounter a global conspiracy. The Exspheres, crystals that give you great power necessary to collect the Elements of Harmony, are actually made by draining the love and happiness out of ponies, ultimately killing them.

On top of that, they find that there is another whole world they didn't know existed. An assassin who had been trying to kill the Priestess, Fluttershy, turns out to be a protagonist, who wanted only to protect her own world. They find a second priestess of this other world, Rarity. And two more ponies whose lives were destroyed by Exsphere research: Applejack- one whose eyes contain no life- and 'Big' Macintosh- one who binds himself because of a past sin.

The one ultimately responsible for all the suffering is Night Mare Moon, the grieving sister of the Goddess who sleeps, Celestia. Can the ragtag protagonists convince Nightmare to redeem herself for all her wrongdoings? [Summary will be refined as the story is written]

Vinyl Scratch and Lyra Heartstrings are vampires, creatures of the night whose civilization has lived in humanity's shadow for thousands of years. When Lyra catches wind of supernatural happenings in her hometown of Canterlot, she and Vinyl take it upon themselves to investigate the cause.

Fearing the consequences of her actions in the bipedal world, Sunset Shimmer returns to Equestria and moves to Ponyville where Twilight Sparkle can keep an eye on her. Sunset Shimmer, bored and beaten, casts about for something to distract her, but soon the feelings growing inside her for Ponyville's princess can no longer be ignored. Nervously, with a little help and encouragement, Sunset begins to open her long-frozen heart to Twilight Sparkle, but when the shadows of Sunset's past threaten to destroy any chance of her happiness in the present, Sunset and Twilight may have to risk everything they have and defy cosmic forces older than Equestria in order to seize their fragile chance at happiness.

For the past three years I have lived with a voice inside my head, a crazed, lunatic of a voice, who I, through the displeasure of living with for the past three years, have come to almost befriend...

Now my childhood friend-turned-enemy, Vinyl Scratch, is inviting me to further my musical prowess by living under the same roof as her, and as much as I can barely stand the sight of her, she represents what may be my last chance at closure and sanity. The irony of which being that I'm sure she's already insane, if not pushing me towards it.
Although, to her credit, she's a nice enough mare, maybe if I could stop the voice in my head for a minute we could grow to become friends again…
...it isn't a sin to dream, is it?
