But with continuous droughts and rising water prices, life on a farm planet is quickly becoming more than either of them bargained for. Stuck between a tightening water budget and raising their kids, when a sudden disaster throws their narrow but workable plans into the gutter they will have to make a choice to save their family, no matter the cost.

So anyone who knows anything about the old frontier towns knows they weren't places people chose to live if they could fit in anywhere else and the sort of people that made their lives there weren't usually in a position to judge others on their choices and lifestyles.

This is a small venting of frustration at a clan of frontiersmen and settlers living in the most dangerous and wild places in Equestria being portrayed as judgy suburbanites.

This story is a sequel to Pretending To Be Mine

This is a short story that is an additive to one of my longer Flutterdash stories! While it's better to read my previous story, it can be read as a stand alone. They are missing scenes during the first chapter of Pretending To Be Mine. A side story of how each character found out about Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash dating. The rumor spread through school like lighting!
Also, yes I've been watching a lot of friends lately IE, the title.

"Fake girlfriend" trope; EG Universe Story only; Fluttershy and Rainbow show up briefly but they are the main subject;

Ponies get older over time. They slow down. This is a part of life. But Rarity, Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie can keep pursuing their dreams as they get older. Rainbow Dash can't. This is her last chance to be a Wonderbolt, and despite working her tail off, she's not getting any better. In fact, she's getting slower. She just wants things to be fair. She wants one last chance to achieve her dream.

She wants to be faster.

This is what happens when she gets her wish.

Sunset Shimmer has been trapped in a time loop of the first day of the Star Swirl Music Festival enacted by her and Pinkie's favorite pop duo Post Crush. Finally, the two friends manage to breach backstage and have their one and only chance to stop the time loop before the glory hungry duo bar them both from the festival forever.

But what if a slight mishap were to occur with skull-shatteringly unexpected results?

"You know... of all the things I was expecting to see today, a teenager with pony ears wasn't exactly high on the list."

Well sure - strangeness is relative. For some people, it might look something like that. For Sunset Shimmer, it would probably include getting vacuumed up by the mirror portal, marooned on an unknown world, and having to rescue her friends from its furthest reaches. Then again, it might also include finding out that there's a lot more at stake here than the lives of seven teenagers.

It all depends on your point of view, really.

After rescuing a girl during the middle of a heavy thunderstorm, Anon starts to believe that this girl is not from his world at all.

Applejack has it all: family, friends, decent grades. Other than the magical rock that gives her super strength, life seems pretty normal. But what happens when one night she displays some new abilities, abilities that don't seem to be magic based?
