Spitfire has always been known to as the fearless Captain of the Wonderbolts. However, it wasn't always that way. When Spitfire is confronted by her best friend on a stormy night, she is forced to relive her worst memories and reopen wound that she previously thought had healed.

Kind of a one-shot I did after a 'spur-of-the-moment' inspiration from seeing Spittfire's tumblr (its really amazing) and realizing that there are few non-shipping Spitfire and Soarin fics. So I wrote this! I did not really get any proofreaders for this so I'm sure there's mistakes somewhere in there. Although it isn't my best piece (far from it), I'm pretty proud of how this came out!

(Takes place sometime after "Rainbow Falls".)

The Wonderbolts have qualified for the Equestria Games and it seems like all is well. But that all changes when a newspaper begins to publish an account of what happened at Rainbow Falls while the qualifier was being held. Suddenly, the reputation of the Wonderbolts begins to take a nosedive.

Spitfire, now racked with guilt for the decision to cut Soarin from the team, decides that there's only one way to salvage the Wonderbolts' reputation and make things right. She announces her desire to resign and hoof the reigns to somepony, which shocks her entire team.

Rainbow Dash is equally shocked, and becomes determined to talk some sense into Spitfire. But is Spitfire in a mood to be reasoned with? Or perhaps it'll take something extreme to make her reconsider?

Spitfire has been distraught ever since the conflict she had with Soarin at the tryouts for the Equestria Games, and as she recalled her past failures, these feelings have only built up inside of her since. When her depression becomes too large for her to hide, Soarin notices her plight just before Spitfire can react. How will he react to the emotions she has been bottling up for a long time?

A young Spitfire sat down on that blue park bench in Manehattan Park as the rain poured down on her. It seemed like everything had been going smoothly, life was on a good track . . . and it all fell apart on her in the span of a day. She found herself alone, scared and drenched.
But she also found herself sitting next to a stallion with a hidden connection to her not-so-distant past, willing to listen to her troubles . . . and keeping a wing over her head.

Note: Beware the "Complete" rating; this is currently a one-shot that can/will be continued if enough support is given for it.

Spitfire and the Wonderbolts are performing at the Grand Galloping Gala the year after the mane six had attended. While performing something goes awry.

To say that Spitfire has had a rough life would be putting it mildly. She has always been unsure of herself and isn't the most sociable pony in the world. So after it feels like everything has gone crashing down for her, she takes a long walk, but when she finds objects that fire off different memories of her life, it's only downhill from there. However, can hope appear in the most unexpected of places and help her?

Spitfire vows to become stronger, even if she breaks herself in the process. Misty Fly, however, suggests she should be more reasonable and believe in herself. Unfortunately, some of Spitfire's old wounds may need to be opened in order to solve this.

Being a Wonderbolt doesn't mean you're infallible. It doesn't mean you always have to win no matter what. It does mean, however, that you have to set an example for other ponies to follow.

Spitfire doesn't feel like she did that at the Equestria Games tryouts. Even though her intentions weren't as callous as they appeared, she still feels awful about doing wrong by Rainbow Dash and Soarin'. Luckily, she has a great team that will hear her out even when she screws up.
