A young Spitfire sat down on that blue park bench in Manehattan Park as the rain poured down on her. It seemed like everything had been going smoothly, life was on a good track . . . and it all fell apart on her in the span of a day. She found herself alone, scared and drenched.
But she also found herself sitting next to a stallion with a hidden connection to her not-so-distant past, willing to listen to her troubles . . . and keeping a wing over her head.

I've always liked SoarinFire as a ship in my honest opinion. I like to see them as at least close friends despite them making mistakes at times, and as far as the close friends part goes, this fic captures it well. It was a nice read and I'm glad that I read it, but I can't help but think that it could benefit from being expanded upon a little bit. If you do decide to do that, it's up to you on how you'd do it, but I'd recommend expanding the relationship between Soarin and Spitfire. It's already established, but I would like to know a little more. Anyway, I'll give this an upvote, and I wish you the best of luck on your future stories.

My favorite too. It's so beautifully written it would make a great standalone story with the cloppy parts carved out. Pretty ironic that his first clopfic also happens to be his best work.....If you care to read the rest of his stuff it almost seems like they're not from the same person

Yeah Wild Sky Yonder's great but Belief's really what gets me into soarinfire. I can never get over the kind of romance in which two protagonists inspire each other unknowingly and help each other's way to the top. Soarin wouldn't get where he is today without Spitfire's encouragement and Spitfire would never become the team captain without her colthood friend. That's what makes Belief such an emotional read, the fact that they only find out each other's secret when they get intimate makes it so much hotter.
