But memories are a fickle thing, and when Sunset Shimmer runs into her ex-boyfriend, she soon discovers that even a memory can be deceptive.

Ditzy Doo has gone through a lot over the years. She's been a planeswalker, a wife, a mother, a savior of worlds, a postal worker, and more besides. But a routine delivery route is about to lead to a very novel experience for her.

Not enjoyable, no, but definitely novel.

This story is in the same continuity as Elementals of Harmony, but reading that isn't necessary to understand this.

It has been a year since I last saw her when she appeared on my doorstep, strangeness in her eyes and a mumbling under her voice.

She asked for my help to investigate a peculiar object, which once held an odd ancient magic. But it's benign now, she said.

It's benign now.

It was supposed to be an easy delve. In, explore, and out.

Instead Daring Do finds herself wandering through an endless corridor, wishing for nothing more than to see the sky once more. And when she reaches the end of the maze, she discovers something waiting for her that hasn't felt the sun for a long, long time. Something very lonely.

And hungry.

Celestia has lived a very long time. Long enough that all but her sister has forgotten her name. A wanderer from place to place, The Princess travels, helping to save all those that she encounters. Always running, never stopping from a past she refuses to face.

The day after Hearth's Warming, Snowfall Frost thinks back to her encounter with Applejack and decides that maybe she hasn't learned her lesson, not entirely. Maybe she needs a refresher.

It's time to put the romance back in necromancy.

When Ditzy Doo woke up, it seemed like it would be a typical morning, apart from the world coming apart at the seams. Then a massive magical shockwave swept through the universe, shoved her out of it, and sent her careening through alternate timelines.

Most of those timelines are populated by tiny horses.

It's going to be an interesting day.
