Gabrielle Eleanor Desrochers and Studded Armor are back in Equestria, trying to come down from their trying experience and settle down into a sensible life again.

They're at least partially successful, but complications keep arising, such as their growing number of obligations, some fame, their own relation, and the fact that their home, Ponyville, is also slowly but steadily becoming a more complicated place.

Dinky considered herself an average sort of filly. She didn't quite have her cutie mark yet, but it wasn't late enough to have any worry about it. She was a bit shy, and a bit bookish, but that was probably Twilight's fault. The library never had a lack of interesting material.

Her mom was amazing, but that was just a given.

She never considered herself a hero, though. She was never particularly brave, particularly smart (though her mother told her otherwise), and she never had any real talent with magic.

So she never considered that such a simple decision could have such a big impact on so many ponies. She never thought that she could have this much responsibility.

And she never thought that it could have this much impact, personally.

That's what she thought, at least.

It was the first decision that started it, yes. But that first decision would have ended up getting her killed. It was the second decision that made her a hero. A hero to the changeling race.

Days after the fall of King Sombra, when the Empire was starting to put itself back together again, a couple of guards have discovered that behind a hidden door, a colt that had a resemblance to a particular, hated king.

A few months after the events of Queen Twilight Sparkle's reveal that she and her hive can produce love, the changeling hives find themselves in an arms race. As Aegis Altair watches over her queens haggling with the minotaur emperor, she finds something that just might give Phoenix's Roost the edge it needs to come out on top.

This is a short interlude before hive book 3.

Harvest Moon is just a quiet, shy little unicorn filly, invited for her first play date in a new city. Things are going very well until her magic suddenly flares up. Then, things take a turn for the worst.

Princess Cadence gets word of the filly's abilities and sets out to gain an apprentice, as well as a new patient. This child is in desperate need of some counseling, and to learn to to control her new magic.

It's not easy, especially for a child, to suddenly be exposed to the evils lurking in pony form.
