At a suggestion from Twilight, Celestia decides to turn the Grand Galloping Gala into a masquerade ball. What results is a spate of mistaken identities, misplaced passions, and assorted other mischief.

Written for April Fools and published as Midnightshadow, because confusion was the order of the day. Story concept by Mids with an assist to bookplayer, who kindly helped out with pre-reading.

However, as Silver Spoon grows older and experiences changes in her own life, she begins to question Diamond Tiara's actions and motives, and ultimately finds herself torn between choosing her own path, and sticking by the one pony who has always been at her side.

It is three years later and the Mane 6 have moved on with their lives, all except Fluttershy, who cannot get the draconequus out of her mind. The others are happy in their new and comfortable lives, until their enemy returns and will only relieve Equestria of his havoc in exchange for a bride.
