A mysterious organization known only as "The CC" emerged mysteriously on a mysterious night with mysterious motives. Their goal? To explore what was never explored before.

The problem? They've sent out nineteen exploration crews, only for each and every one of them to go missing. Also mysteriously, mind you.

And now, with their twentieth attempt in Crew-T, maybe something interesting will finally happen...

Two months ago, the bandit Sunset Shimmer held up her first shipment wagon heading out from Rich Enterprises and made off with thousands in taxes and promissory notes taken from the western town of Ponyville. Since then she's hit three more wagons, and the CEO of Rich Enterprises wants the sheriff and her deputy to do something about it.

Unfortunately, the long arm of the law has a limp wrist.

Fluttershy knows it is her honor, her destiny, to have been born into the Lunar Guard. She knows it with all her heart. But sometimes, when she can get away from her drills and be alone with her animals, she is beset by doubt. Sometimes, as she straps on her armor and raises her spear, she wonders why there is so much disharmony in the world.

Sometimes she feels like Equestria is missing a little kindness.
